Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe didn't stay long enough - only 10 days ;)
Unique place. The property is located in the middle of a vineyard with beautiful views of the Tuscan countryside. Quiet, rural location but close to small towns with shops and restaurants. Very friendly and helpful staff and owners. Any requests were fulfilled immediately. Very nice swimming pool cleaned every day, with lots of sunbeds available. Very good breakfast. Air-conditioning in our Villa was working perfectly in the very hot weather. Ultrafast wi-fi connection.

South AfricaThe apartment was spacious with a stunning view of the vineyards and Tuscan hills. The location was perfect for day trips to Florence and some Tuscan villages. Our highlights were the wine tasting and cooking classes with Chef Valentina. She was so friendly and enthusiastic and we had a wonderful time. We also loved the strolls through the vineyards and beautiful surrounding scenery.

NetherlandsWhat a fantastic place! Upon arrival, we received a very friendly welcome and immediately felt at home. The apartments and the hotel are tastefully decorated and exude a typical Tuscan atmosphere. Everything is spotlessly clean, and the beds are incredibly comfortable. The pool is a true luxury: large, peaceful, and with plenty of comfortable seating where you can relax and enjoy an aperitif. The wine tasting featuring their own wines is also highly recommended – presented with great enthusiasm and expertise, making it not only delicious but also educational.

SwedenSo beautiful, calm and lovely place. Amazing apartment. We also had the best cooking-session with Valentina. She helped us cook a nice Italian dinner, she was so sweet and professional, and we never thought we could cook something that good. Best teacher! The cooking-class really made our stay special, we recommend it to everyone!

United StatesThe windows leaked a bit during a thunderstorm when the wind was high. We caught it in time and put towels down to absorb the water. There were flies down by the pool, so lounging around may not be as fun. The pool itself was amazing!
Amazing location with their own vineyard. Perfect breakfast with local foods, and a nice terrace overlooking the vineyards. You could also watch the Italian bullet trains fly by every few minutes each direction as they transit between Roma and Firenze. 25 short minutes to downtown Firenze for parking lot and gateway to all the culture. 55 minutes to Darrio Cecchini's Italian meat experience in Panzane (don't miss that!).

RomaniaWe had an amazing time at Casagrande. It is very conveniently located, if you arrive by car, at 10 minutes drive from the train station that takes you into the heart of Firenze in about 40 minutes. The apartment was very clean and spacious and we had a nice patio to enjoy a glass of Tuscan wine in the evening. The pool was a nice finish at the end of long, hot days of wandering around Florence and San Gimignano. There are a couple of supermarkets around and a few nice restaurants. I dreamt about this place for a long time and Casagrande made it real! Thank you!

PhilippinesWe stayed for 3 nights without a car, and getting around was definitely a challenge. If you’re planning to visit, I highly recommend hiring a car—it’s the best way to fully enjoy the location. We took the bus into Florence city centre, which was doable but not ideal—it involved a 15-minute walk to the bus stop in the heat and 20-30 min bus ride (great views though), but overall felt like a bit of a chore. There are no restaurants or shops nearby, and no evening dining available on-site, so unless you have a car, be prepared to cook. We were ready to cook our own meals, but didn’t realize basic condiments like olive oil, salt, or pepper weren’t provided. We ended up buying olive oil to cook. It would be great if the kitchen included some essentials or if the property offered a small selection of grocery items for purchase. No water/coffee in the room are not provided, so come fully stocked. There were enough cooking utensils, but only one kitchen towel for the entire stay, no hand wash in the kitchen or bathroom, and just a few sachets of shampoo and body wash—so definitely bring your own toiletries. We were told cleaning wouldn’t be included during the stay, but after three days we had quite a bit of rubbish with nowhere to put it. A washing machine would also be a great addition for longer stays. All in all, a lovely, peaceful place—but best enjoyed if you come fully prepared and with a car.
The breathtaking views, peaceful surroundings, and vineyard setting made our stay incredibly relaxing—like having our own private Tuscan retreat. The pool was lovely, and we especially enjoyed the tranquil atmosphere, with lavender fields nearby and the soothing sounds of nature all around. We even spotted deer, rabbits, and butterflies, which made it feel extra special. Breakfast, though simple, featured fresh local produce and was more than enough to start the day right. The space was clean and comfortable, with fresh linens, enough towels, and both indoor and outdoor dining areas to enjoy the scenery. The kitchen was basic but had what we needed for proper meals. The nearby train could be heard occasionally but didn’t bother us at all. Overall, it’s a peaceful and scenic retreat—perfect for unwinding and soaking up the Tuscan charm. The staff were wonderful, and the owners were friendly and responsive. It truly felt like staying on our own vineyard. Just be sure to come prepared with a car and bring along any essentials, as shops and restaurants aren't within walking distance.

United KingdomOnly minor issue was that having been told the room would be cleaned every day, we were disappointed to see that really all this meant was the bed would be made and towels replaced every few days. For example: Our bathroom bin was not replaced for the duration of the stay so we ended up taking it out ourselves. Toilet roll was not replaced and so we (and overheard other guests too) had to ask for more. Staff immediately assisted when informed of this, however. We had a basic room with no kitchen but a mini fridge was included which was helpful. We were supplied with mugs and wine glasses which was great but again, when these were left on the side, clearly used, they were not replaced with clean ones. We asked for some plates and cutlery one day and then these were not cleared from our room the following day. Finally, they provide shower gel/shampoo but in sachets. This was inconvenient more than anything and felt wasteful in terms of packaging. The sachets again were something we had to request more of and were not automatically refilled. Simple fix might be to provide larger bottles in the rooms. These are all minor things that could easily be improved and would really make the stay perfection. We otherwise had a really great time here and would highly recommend it!
A brilliant base for exploring Tuscany if you have a car. Beautiful cities and hill top towns all within a 2 hrs drive. The location itself was stunning and the grounds of the property were really well maintained to a beautiful standard. Greta shared pool facility with a lovely view over the vineyards (only very slight noise pollution from the nearby A1) Rooms were comfortable and each room had its own outdoor seating area. The breakfast was nice albeit quite simple and the seating area/terrace is lovey. Staff were very attentive and helpful and were able to give good recommendations for parking locations when asked. The wine made at Casagrande is for sale for very reasonable prices (cheapest around €7). Local restaurants and supermarkets only a short drive away.

PolandFattoria Casagrande is one of those rare places that truly stay with you. Surrounded by olive groves and vineyards, it offers a breathtaking setting full of history, charm, and tranquility. The villa and its grounds are lovingly maintained, with every corner inviting you to slow down and enjoy the moment. The apartments are spacious, tastefully furnished, and thoughtfully designed to reflect the Tuscan spirit — with stone floors, wooden beams, and rustic elegance. What stood out was the sense of privacy: each unit has its own outdoor space or garden corner, which made it feel like we had our own little oasis. The outdoor area is exceptional. The pool is large, clean, and never felt crowded. With plenty of loungers, umbrellas, and beautiful landscaping, it was the perfect spot to relax between trips or just spend the whole afternoon doing nothing. There are several quiet places on the property where you can read, sip wine, or enjoy the sunset. Breakfast was a daily pleasure — fresh fruit, local cheeses, pastries, and excellent coffee, all served in a calm and lovely setting. The wine selection, produced on-site, is a true gem. We enjoyed tastings and took several bottles home. What truly elevated the experience was the staff. Everyone we met was warm, discreet, and genuinely caring. They made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived, offering tips, helping with restaurant bookings, and making sure everything ran smoothly. We stayed here just after our wedding and couldn’t have asked for a better start to this new chapter. Everything felt effortless, elegant, and incredibly peaceful. The location is also very convenient for exploring Tuscany — whether you're heading to Florence, Arezzo, Siena, or the nearby medieval towns. We will remember this place for a long time. It’s ideal for couples, friends, or families who value beauty, authenticity, and a slower pace. Highly recommended — without hesitation.

It was a very large apartment with a beautiful outlook over the vineyard. There was only a short drive to the train station for a trip to Florence. There were large parking areas dedicated to the train station which were along a road parallel to the train line.

GermanyThe rooms could have been a tiny bit cleaner, but taking into consideration that the buildings are all old and have stone walls and flooring this is a minor inconvenience. Moreover, it would be nice to have pool towels ready at arrival (if needed) and not only at an extra charge (10€). We didn't know that they came at a surcharge otherwise we would have taken some from home - but again, not a deal-breaker either!
Amazing staff, everyone is very friendly and the entire atmosphere on the property is very familiar. They try to make every wish possible and go the extra mile, something that is rare to find these days. Really lovely and relaxing atmosphere in general.
