The hotel I had passed a number of times last summer and was interested in staying this year. We were not disappointed. The rooms were beautifully decorated, spacious, clean and beds extremely comfortable. The hotel is high in the Tuscan hills with beautiful views and a short drive from the centre of Florence (15 mins). The breakfast was varied with freshly baked bread and of a high standard. The barman we recognised from a different place we stayed last year, was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We had dinner one night which was the pizza evening, delicious food but I would just say to make it clear on booking that there are different themed food evenings. The pool was lovely, it was very relaxed and a beautiful garden and ease of parking with the car. I did get stung by a wasp one day as there appeared to be a wasp nest under the sun bed - think maybe just check this out for future guests, as I was stung quite badly but I am first-aid trained so dealt with it quite quickly and the barman was also helpful. Really enjoyed the hotel and it felt very relaxed and like staying in your own Tuscan home - would definitely stay again.

The food in the restaurant can be better value with more variety as it becomes monotonous after several days. Having to pay for some warm items at breakfast when the accommodation is inclusive of breakfast does not leave a good impression.

In an idyllic location with a fantastic swimming pool. Very helpful and friendly staff. The room and and the bathroom were perfect in every respect. Every minute detail has been taken care of. Would recommend unreservedly.

Our stay at this beautiful estate in Tuscany was like a fairytale! The property is stunning, with a lovely pool, breathtaking surroundings, and an unforgettable atmosphere. Wish there were walking paths in the orchid.

Coperto for lunch and dinner when you are guest of hotel. So if you eat lunch and dinner three days coperto is 90€ for two people or 180€ for four….. way too much, atmosphere is relaxed, restaurant is by the pool and is not michelin class service. Also salami, panchetta or prosciutto crudo is not something made in molecular cuisine…4 thin pcs for me and 4pcs for my fiancee made me laugh a little.

Stuff is excellent. Generally everything was fine. Chef is preparing interesting combination of meals. Lunch was amazing, simple options(mostly pasta) but mastered to perfection. Olive oil is amazing, would buy some but we are not producing our own…. Would suggest some simpler options for dinner as well. In the end we enjoyed lunch more than chefs menu for dinner.

Vicelli is an amazing place, we stayed in a deluxe suite, it's spacious and gorgeous. The location is great, 30 mins to Florence, 20 mins to mall of firenze. It would be perfect to stay with a group of friends in the summertime. A little bit dislike about the amenities is they have Nescafe in the room, it may change to a better quality one:)

Peaceful and beautiful place to escape from busy Florence.Nice facilities inside and around.Big swimming pool,lots of sunbeds. The room was cosy and clean with the small wardrobe and comfortable bed and pillows. The breakfast was nice served with the decent food :fresh bread ,cheese ,fruits.The food in restaurant for lunch or tapas bar also was fresh and nicely cooked.The staff is friendly and welcoming.

Like is an understatement, we LOVED this property!! Probably one of the best places we have stayed at during our Italy holiday. Highly recommend this place 10 on 10. Stunning views, amazing staff and beautiful rooms. So much character on the property with an amazing view of the sunrise and sunset. Breakfast a bit chaotic - understaffed, most tables not cleared, had to track down waiter to take coffee order each day. Felt stingy to be charged an extra €6 tor scrambled eggs when paying €300 per night for bed and breakfast. coffee making facilities but no milk in rooms or kitchen area.
