There did not appear to be a functional electrical wall socket in the bedroom available to recharge our mobile phones. We used a bathroom socket instead. The owners are currently upgrading the wiring.

The hotel is well located in the town, and conveniently close to a bar and a restaurant. There was a parking space right by the hotel that was made available to us. The owners are a lovely young couple, both speak excellent English. They were very helpful and accommodating. They moved a mini-fridge into the room especially for us. On the morning of our departure, our car refused to start and they quickly located a car mechanic for us, who arrived within 10 minutes of phoning him and fixed the problem. Great service by everyone! The bedroom and bed were very comfortable. The bathroom was newly renovated - clean, well lit, spacious, and with great hot water and good water pressure. The owners have not long purchased the hotel and are presently upgrading it. The current decor is a little outdated, but has charm. There is a small elevator available. Our room overlooked a street, which was quiet. We didn't book breakfast - so cannot comment on this.

I found the bed too hard - but it's probably fine for most people - I suffer from sore hips and really need lots of padding on the bed. Generally I find hotel beds uncomfortable and this is definitely one of the better ones I have (not) slept in, so don't let this put you off.

We got a really warm welcome from the hosts and found our room to be spotlessly clean. We got to know the hosts a little more and hear about their plans to renovate the hotel - it's a big project but we are sure they'll turn this into a beautiful space! Everything was very clean and tidy, the shower was good and the facilities much as you would expect from a budget hotel. We loved having sheets as well as a duvet. I prefer a soft pillow so if you are picky about pillows, it might be good to request a soft one (wish I thought of that!). Good luck with the renovations, there is so much potential here.

The room was abit cold, it was early October and starting to get cold but the heating was not on

Nice little hotel lovely staff who made me feel really welcome. I felt they could not do more to make my stay perfect. Hotel is right in the heart of the town. There is a bar and a restaurant next door bar opens all day and until midnight. Nice room with all facilities, hotel is abit dated but that adds to its charm.

We choose this hotel for the location which was ideal for us. The hotel is dated and in need of a lick of paint. That said the rooms and facilities were very clean and for the price we paid I have no complaints. All of the staff were pleasant and friendly. I would recommend if you are on a budget.

Only a small issue my euro adapter didn’t work in the room I was in so was unable to charge my phone, I’m sure if I asked at reception they would have helped me but didn’t need to ask as I charged my phone in Bar Italia whilst enjoying their lovely coffee and pastries 🥐😀

The location and room was perfect for my needs, bed linen and towels pristine received a welcome to Italy text from Franci who was in reception when I arrived and couldn’t have been more pleasant. There was a fridge in the landing if you wanted to store drinks etc altho I didn’t need it, it was only a brief stay and I felt it was exceptional value.Bar Italia right next door with the most delicious pastries/ cakes and friendly staff very reasonable prices and seemed to be a popular local hub.

This hotel has a great soul. It's perfect complement for visiting and tasting the history of Italy and Bagni di Lucca. Everything fits perfectly. And you have a lot stuff to do in this area. Marvelous mountains, cute villages, the river and not so far to visit the sea. You won't be boring and in the same moment you will avoid the huge number of tourist. At this moment place belongs to a very nice lady, whose bought it from older Italian gentleman, so she speaks English and she's very helpful. The place is maybe old but very clean. You won't regret the time you spent there.
