Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IrelandI believe it was a temporary issue, but we had no hot water during our 2 days' stay. The owner kindly offered us a partial refund for not meeting the conditions, so it was all good. Sometimes, there are situations outside of our control, and we totally understand it. Hope they get it resolved soon.
The room is big with an ensuite bathroom. The facilities were clean and their breakfast despite basic is very good. It's very well located and with plenty of parking spots available (street). The views from the mountains are spectacular.

NetherlandsSome unnecessary discussion on how to book a room with separate beds, this was never a problem in other bookings. Also the room we ended up in had a very small and outdated bathroom and to have the separate beds one of us had to sleep in a bunk bed.
As the restaurant of the hotel was closed and we had booked for half-board, and we didn't have our own transport, we were chauffeured to an alternative restaurant of the same hotel chain in Mareson, a village nearby. This was an unexpected but pleasant experience due to the nice conversations in the car with the hotel manager and the fine restaurant. Breakfast was great too.

RomaniaIn some mornings, during our 7 night stay, the omelet was horrible, as if it was mixed with carton. The bathroom is very small, at least in our room. The bathroom door was screeching badly. The door isolation is poor. You could easily hear people on the corridors. The room isolation in general is poor. You could hear the neighbours leaking in their bathroom. Sometimes at night, I almost thought there's someone else in our bathroom :)) The double bed, was made out of twin mattresses, and they were very unstable. Constantly having a hole in between them didn't provide the best sleep. It was not a perfect stay, but all in all, we just needed a place to rest in between our daily hikes, so it was good enough.
Nice staff. Good honest breakfast. Clean room and bathroom.

AustraliaThe hotel is located in front of a church where the bells ring every hour and every half hour between the hours of 7am - 10pm. So if you don't mind waking early, this place is great! But other than that, this place is nice.
Bed was large and comfortable and room was super spacious. The buffet breakfast was basic but nice. There is free parking across the road and it's a good location to access the Dolomites.

IrelandIt was a lovely family run hotel. Good food. The staff were nice and our waiters, the two Lorenzo's were very friendly and helpful.
We enjoyed the few drinks before dinner in the bar. The food at dinner was excellent. We enjoyed watching the European championship in the bar after dinner. After the dinner service was over all the staff ate together which we felt was lovely.

United StatesThe pillows are incredibly flat and uncomfortable. They really need to not put them in the washer or something.
The building is super interesting and the price is good. The breakfast was well rounded with lots of options. The chef and I assume probably an owner as well was very accommodating for our dietary requirements as vegetarians. He made us some tasty noodle dishes with chantrelle mushrooms along with some grilled vegetables that were not a part of the menu.

NetherlandsThe restaurant in the hotel was very unprofessional. There was only one person who ran both the bar and the entire restaurant. We did feel bad for him because he was very kind. There was a high level of chaos and no real menu. After dinner the bill was way too high and when we adressed this to the manager, his reaction was extremely uncomfortable. Because the manager started shouting really bad at the waiter in the room next door. This made us want to eat out the next day. All in all the hotel is nice but don't expect a hotel grade restaurant to accompany it.
It's a very cute village in the Italian mountains. The room Itself was pretty decent and clean. The hotel looks really cute and authentic. The cocktails in the bar were really nice!
