How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewVery close to the train station and public transport. Overall it was a great experience staying here and we had everything we needed; the host is very friendly and made our stay very pleasant. Tasty breakfast as well. We would return here when in Rome :)

Verified reviewThe location is fantastic. Silvio is a gentleman. The rooms are cosy but comfortable. Rooms are as per the photos described. Italian breakfast is served with bread, fruits, yoghurt, beverages. The metro station is 2 mins away and railway station is 6 mins away. The room was cleaned everyday. WiFi speed amazing!
Everything was good but you could hear noises from the corridor, reception and breakfast area through our room's main door. The room door might need better sound proofing. In our room, the shower holder was loose, thus making the shower head turn towards the wall rather than water falling on us. I am sure this could be fixed easily though.

Verified reviewLocation was close enough to Termini station where you are able to walk. Great European breakfast included, friendly and accommodating staff. Gave us a map and recommendations for Rome for our stay.
The room was very small with little room for our bags, but that’s normal for Rome. Also the hotel in itself is small with only (I think 7-9 rooms). The hallway leading to the rooms is small and when people chatter or laugh in the lobby it travels. Sound proofing the doors would be helpful.

Verified reviewClean room in a good location 10 minute walk from Termini. It had a small fridge, wardrobe with coat hangers, double bed, desk area, good quality air con, and good washroom with shower. The room was quite small but big enough for a short stay. Lovely people running it who will help you at every opportunity.
It is a small property so it has an intimate feel. The sound proofing from inside the hotel is not great so you can hear breakfast being served and the family up early so maybe bring ear buds. Bed was on the harder side but not bad.

Verified reviewDid not like anything about this place
NOTE: Rate at google 2 - Why is the hotel rated over 4 on booking, when clearly is not.. Very rude owner of the hotel. Dirty, small and brown sheets. The hotel owner yelled at my girlfriend and told her to fuck off, because he said we asked to many questions, we asked for new sheets because they were stains in it and dirty and asked for a wine opener. Very many people have said the same thing about this hotel on reviews.
GOOD MORNING EVERYONE, UNFORTUNATELY WE LIVE IN A WORLD WHERE YOUNG PEOPLE NO LONGER HAVE A SENSE OF RESPECT AND POLITE. NOW I'LL EXPLAIN. THE GENTLEMEN WHO WROTE THIS REVIEW STAYED 1 NIGHT, PAID A LITTLE MORE THAN 90 EUROS FOR 2 WITH BREAKFAST INCLUDED (ROOM WITH BATHROOM, TV, AC, FRIDGE, SAFE, FREE TEA AND COFFEE SERVICE IN THE ROOM, FREE WIFI AND I DO NOT LIST OTHER SERVICES SUCH AS WELCOME MAP ETC.) THEIR CHECK-IN TOOK PLACE AFTER THE SCHEDULED TIME FOR OUR FREE CONCESSION, ONCE THEY ARRIVED THEY TOOK THE ROOM WITHOUT MAKING ANY REPORT OF ANY KIND, THEY LEFT AT 10.30 PM USING THE ROOM FOR ABOUT 1 HOUR AND A HALF. WE DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY DID, HOWEVER, AT AT 11:30 PM THEY CAME BACK WITH BOTTLES OF ALCOHOL, 1 REQUESTED 1 GLASS, AFTER ABOUT 10 MINUTES 2 REQUESTED TO CHANGE THE SHEETS BECAUSE THEY WERE DIRTY (WE DON'T KNOW IF THEY DID IT) ANYWAY THE SHEETS WERE CHANGED AT 12 AM THEY AGAIN REQUESTED A BOTTLE OPENER AND THEN I, A 50 YEAR OLD, NO LONGER WANTED TO BE TAKEN AS A SLAVE BY 2 SPOILED AND RUDE CHILDREN, DENIED THE BOTTLE OPENER AND ADVISED THEM TO GO DRINK IN THE MANY PLACES IN ROME. THE GIRL WITH VERY RUDE MANNERS TOLD ME TO FUCK OFF AND I OBVIOUSLY RESPONDED. NOT ONLY DID THEY GIVE THEM A DISCOUNT ON THE TOURIST TAX AND WHEN THEY LEFT THEY SLAMMED THE DOOR VIOLENTLY, EVEN SCAREING THE CUSTOMERS SITTING DOWN FOR BREAKFAST, BUT THEY FORCED ME TO SERVE THEM ACCORDING TO THEIR NEEDS AT ANY TIME EVEN AFTER 12 AM. NOW YOU MAKE YOUR OWN CONSIDERATIONS. RUDENESS, DISRESPECT FOR THOSE WHO WORK. UNFORTUNATELY, AT 50 YEARS OLD I COULD NOT ACCEPT ALL OF THIS.

Verified reviewFrom the moment we arrived, we felt so welcome and well taken care of. Everything you need is in the room, including a lockable safe, which was very handy. It's just a 7-minute walk to the main train station and 3 minutes to a bus stop that takes you to all the major sights in Rome. The room was cleaned daily to a high standard. Breakfast was a lovely treat each morning, with fresh, delicious pastries. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always smiling. We were given a great map on arrival, and everything was explained clearly, including what to see and how to get there. A wonderful stay.

Verified reviewThe staff (Violetta and Veronica) were terrific! Very helpful, and kind. And, Pippa, the dog is adorable!! Also, nice breakfast in the morning. Fresh fruit, pastry, coffee, yogurt.
Definitely needs air conditioning throughout. A/C was ONLY available in the bedroom on the 2nd floor. 1st floor with bathroom, kitchen, living area was ventilation (windows) only...and it was almost 100 degrees while we were there. Luckily we found a fan in the closet and used that downstairs. Pictures are of 1st floor. I guess I didn't take any of the bedroom...

Verified reviewWe were allowed to check-in a bit earlier so that was great. Beds were comfortable. The hotel dog was the best! Location was pretty good.
Whilst the windows were sound proof, the rooms are close to the reception/eating area. The staff make a lot of noise in the morning which makes it really difficult to sleep. Breakfast was limited. Shower was small. Beds sheets are thin

Verified reviewThe hosts were sure friendly and helpful. The location was fantastic, walking distance from the Colluseum and many other things, as well as the central train station. Rooms and bathrooms were a good size for the mid City location.
The mattresses were both very uncomfortable and our. springs had seen better days. We did not sleep well the first night. To their credit, when we mentioned this to our hosts, they admitted they had ordered new mattresses but they just hadn't arrived due to holidays. They went the extra mile supplying soft blankets and laying them under the sheets for us. The new mattresses arrived for the last day. Hooray!

Verified reviewLocation perfect, could not think of a better one. Very clean- room was cleaned everyday and even toiletries were changed every day for new ones. Very nice and helpful stuff, lovely people.
The breakfast was a little let down. We would have thought the breakfast would be fresh every day, at least the bakery.
