I am well aware of the town and found parking but it was irritating not to have a dedicated place. This one area will have me make this my second choice in the town.

Excellent location on one of the main squares of the town. Lovely and quiet. The room was very comfortable with excellent, quiet, air conditioning and a spacious bathroom with a great shower and lots of items including a sewing kit, toothbrushes and toothpaste. We didn’t have breakfast as we chose to go to a local cafe but I am sure it would be great. All in all great value for money and a lovely hotel .

Very conveniently located in Piazza Sordello. This and the adjacent piazza are very lively at night and it’s great being able to walk back to your room so easily. The staff was very friendly and the room was very clean. Would definitely stay again when I return to Mantova.

The rooms on the ground floor have their only opening to the inner courtyard, no windows but only a glass door (not transparent). On the other hand, that means one can use the inner courtyard as the (non-private) room lobby

The breakfast as such was quite good, but the location of the breakfast is breathtaking: A historic hall on the first floor with partly preserved historic fresco decoration with windows and balcony directly upon the main square of the city, looking onto the famous ducal palace.

Perfect location. Our rooms looked out onto the ducal palace and square. Very friendly. Good variety of food in the restaurant. The room was actually five large rooms with tvs in two. Nonslip shower, safe, fridge, tea/coffee in room. Aircon great. Lift. Great internet (our last 4 star in Verona was a disaster. Internet at Leon d Oro did not work for three days)

Everything was perfect

We were in the very heart of the city, close to the palaces and churches we wanted to visit. We only paid 5 euros for 24 hours to leave the car very close to the hotel thanks to the document issued by the hotel reception. The staff was very nice and helpful. The city is marvellous. Walk about 10 minutes from the touristic busy and noisy streets and you will find excellent restaurants, bars and salumerie.

I was puzzled by the lack of drawers - not one in the whole room! It seems odd to have to place everything (including clothes) on surfaces. Though cleaning and breakfast room staff were pleasant, I found the reception staff not very welcoming. They could not help with a taxi booking for my return journey and I was not even asked if I had enjoyed my stay at check out.

Location was perfect - right in the centre of main square but still quiet and pleasant. Room and bathroom were very spacious. Clean and comfortable - air con worked well and it was good to have a large television to watch some Italian programmes. Buffet breakfast had a large choice of tasty items well displayed.
