Booked this last minute and it exceeded our expectations! Lovely room, check-in process was super easy and well explained. Everything was clean and done to a nice standard. The little balcony was nice to look out of. Location is great, you're a few minutes from the main square but tucked away in a nice little sideroad. Great idea for breakfast - they provide vouchers for a local cafe where you get a coffee, juice and pastry - loved this idea! Would recommend this place to anyone staying in Ortigia!

It is more Airbnb then real hotel, self check-in, no personal contact with the staff. It was the surprise that the hotel wanted me to pay the citytax in advance by the link sent in the message

What we didn’t love (but wasn’t a big issue): The room was on the smaller side, but had everything we needed for a short stay.

We had a lovely short stay at Calamurn Ortigia! The location is great and very central, perfect for exploring Ortigia on foot. Since the area is limited traffic most of the time, we parked just outside the island at 'Parcheggio Molo Sant'Antonio'—only about a 15-minute easy walk to the apartment. The apartment is located in an old building, so be prepared for a number of stairs—something to keep in mind if you have heavy luggage. We stayed in Superior Room No. 2, which was on the smaller side, but still perfectly fine for a one-night stay. The bed and pillows were really comfortable, and the bathroom was surprisingly spacious and modern. There’s air conditioning in the room (a must in the summer!), and we appreciated the free bottled water provided in the fridge. There's also a supermarket nearby, along with plenty of restaurants, shops, and pharmacies all within walking distance. Communication with the host was excellent—very responsive and helpful, and they even allowed us a slightly later check-out, which we really appreciated. The area around the apartment was also very quiet, which made for a peaceful night’s sleep.

Great location and accommodations. I arrived a bit earlier than check-in time and they were very kind to hold my bag until the room was ready. Helpful instructions provided for everything I’d need during my stay. Spacious and clean room in a beautiful building. Walkable to everything in Ortigia and I felt very safe. Was sad to leave.

We stayed in Room 2. The room carried an order of mildew and perhaps sewer most of the time. Very off putting. Several of our towels were clean but badly stained. Some of these linens need to be replaced. There are 2 features about the property that are never mentioned in the write ups or reviews that should be mentioned. They are both nothing that anyone can do about so I don’t fault the owners. Calamurn Ortigia is 6 flights up of 14 steps each. For older folks, or a family with a young child or 2. ( as we saw happening) this is taxing. It should be mentioned in the description. Also, “breakfast included” is at a wonderful cafe up the street. That should also appear in the description.

The location is great for seeing Ortigia. It was air conditioned. The bed was comfortable.

Beautifully appointed bedroom, great heating, view to a small alley. Everything had a nice style . Kind welcome chocolate and a fridge in the room. Breakfast voucher for the best bar in Ortigia. Absolutely memorable experience. Bathroom and shower perfect.

The only downside is the noise that you hear from the hallway. It would be great to invest into proper soundproof door because otherwise the accommodation is amazing - it's just that you hear everything & everyone who comes into the other apartments.

What a great location & design. We loved staying at this place - you're right in the middle of everything with great restaurants & bars at your doorstep. Breakfast spot was lovely. Would definitely recommend staying here.

It felt a bit cold and damp, but probably it's not a problem in the main season. It was in a quiet side street, but somehow I could still hear random loud cars and the neighbours.

The location was perfect for walking around. The room was stylishly decorated and clean.

Property was lovely. Separate bathroom but we knew that on booking. However, rather pushy email from property after we stayed “encouraging” us to give them a score of 10 felt inappropriate, so counterproductive.
