Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The property is very confortable and in a good location to visit Assisi. You can tale the public bus and continue to Assisi confortably without worrying about parking.

We had a room with a balcony. When you looked right you saw the basilica, looked left and you saw Assisi. Gorgeous views. Lovely owner who was there when we arrived and when we checked out.

It would have been nice to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room. A bigger table in the room would have been good.

Breakfast was very much average - prepackaged goods - but the place was comfortable, quiet, clean, and perfectly located to go see the basilica. I booked last minute and the staff was amazing at reacting and getting the room ready (this was winter and it was very cold outside)

Shower is small and for those who like a cup of tea, a hot water jug would be useful! Would also be useful to have a washing machine/drier available.
Quiet and comfortable apartment on the ground floor with small kitchen. Good air conditioning. Friendly helpful host.

From the moment of arrival the staff person, I believe Maria, met us on the sidewalk and was very attentive to our groups needs. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Check-out was easy. I would book here again.

Camere la basilica is a lovely place to stay at! Location was great for what we needed- quick 4 minute walk from the train station/bus stops where you can take a bus to assisi old town. Short walk to basilica santa maria degli angeli. There wasnt much to do in the area other than that, but we prefered to stay closer to the train station rather than in the historical center since we wanted to take some trips to nearby towns as well. The room was clean and comfortable, had everything we needed. We also appreciated the complimentary coffee and sweet snacks. The host was very nice, gave us a map of the city and helped with everything we needed. I would definitely recommend staying here and would come back!

Would be great if the curtains could block out more of the light. I am a light sleeper though, so this may not be a problem for most people. 🙃
Clean comfortable room with a great shower and bed. Friendly hosts who are very accommodating! Easy to get to Assisi by bus and is within easy walking distance to the train station. Also close to an incredible Basilica which you out to make time for!

It was simple and very clean, important criteria for me, as this was a trip connecting with the spirit of Saint Francis. And the owners are wonderful — friendly and responsive. Location is amazing — walkable to and from Assisi centro (or by a 10-min bus ride) and the train station is a 5-minute walk away so that it’s so easy to visit other hilltowns too. Several good options for food around as well.

Entire guesthouse has no water boiler which was uncomfortable for Asian tourists, who drink tea and hot water.
It’s close to the train station, 6 minutes walking distance.

Maria so sweet and very helpful. She made our stayed so great. She is so kind, polite and patient. We highly recommended to stay there. Location is perfect, near bus stop and many shop, restaurant. Our room so nice, very clean., with a balcony. Thanks a lot Maria.
