Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaA little confusion on the driver pick up from the port. A tip: it's an easy 12 minute walk from the Port. We had large suitcases and did it comfortably. Will climb about 12 stairs during the walk.
A lovely, historical building. Brilliant location in Naples. Clean room and comfortable bed. Staff friendly.

United StatesThe location was perfect, right at the beginning of the old town but still quiet because there were no bars below us. The room had old world charm and the family who own the hotel were wonderful. They picked us up at the airport and took us back to it for a small fee alleviating a lot of extra bother for us and making it feel like a very comfortable stay. The hotel is located in a beautiful courtyard. A special experience.

United KingdomOur room had an awful smell which turned out to be the bath mat. It was tricky to have a shower without flooding the bathroom as the shower head leaked over the enclosure. The room, like the rest of the property could benefit from some repairs. Not everything old can be called antique.
Very central with plenty of street food around and easy walks to sights. The people running the b&b are very friendly.

BelgiumNothing to report, really. The access road may be better indicated, it may be challenging to find the property at night, but that’s a detail- and it can be viewed the other way as an advantage since the property is away from the main road.
Excellent stay in this family-run agroturismo. We enjoyed the excellent food and the nice settings in this citrus farm

United KingdomI couldn't complain about anything other than a slight smell coming from the bathroom but that is not the fault of the apartment or owners. The bathroom itself was very clean and tidy.
The staff were so friendly and accommodating, arranging a taxi for us from the station, letting us have the key earlier than check in and letting us leave our bags after check out. The location was central and the whole venue was beautifully decorated. Felt really safe as well, through lots of different doors and gates.

United StatesTwo things. First - toilet paper holder/hanger. Nowhere I've stayed seems to have them, so I guess it's not a thing in Italy, but it would be really nice to have the little hanger screwed to the wall next to the toilet. Otherwise you're always juggling a roll or perching it on the bidet or towel rack. Not a make or break, but such a simple thing to add, and would make it more comfortable. Second - beware of noise. There's not much a hotel could do about this, but just be aware that this neighborhood, and Naples in general, are very noisy. I retired earlier than I would most nights because I was simply overwhelmed and needed to get somewhere a little more peaceful - but even in the hotel, you could hear sirens, shouting, barking dogs, motorcycle engines, etc. I brought earplugs, but just be prepared - Naples is noisy!
The staff was friendly, efficient, and very accommodating. I was impressed listening to them swap effortlessly between Italian, French, and English in the same conversation. I also got my first hug in two months of travelling alone in Europe. I know they're not huggers like Americans, so I felt very warm towards them. I really appreciated the included breakfasts with savory protein options (I'm not a sweet European pastry for breakfast kind of girl) and the flexibility in timing when I ran a bit late (was informed "not to worry, we're on Neopolitan time!"). The BnB was small enough to feel like I got to know some of the other guests at breakfast too, lovely French couple. And the place itself was gorgeous. Piano, chandelier, frescos! The palazzo was very historically significant. There was a pianist who would come in each morning to practice in the next room, so we got a free concert during breakfast each morning. He was also very kind and told us a lot about the history of the palazzo (Scarlatti was BORN here!). Of all my stays, this was the only place were they did daily room cleaning/new towels if needed, etc. Oh! They had an elevator. It's not high up, but def. appreciated when you have a bulky suitcase. There was a little charging station in the room as well as a kettle and tea-making stuff. And the airconditioning worked great! Just a lovely little place. Would def recommend.

United KingdomIt was impossible for us to find anything to dislike about B&B Carafa.
Staying in that B&B was like being part of the Italian film La Grande Belezza -The Great Beauty. It makes you feel the grandeur of Naples and Italy throughout the centuries. Our bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was extra delicious. The stuff welcomed us like long awaited guests and made our stay very special.
