Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

We had a wonderful stay ! The place is ideally situated and the owner super nice :) he gave us good tips about Vernazza. We highly recommend Casa Adri !

Very convenient location. The walk from the train station is less than 5 mins with a gentle slope. The walk to the waterfront is a 10 min stroll. The building is also located near entry points of the cinque terre hiking routes. There’s a lift in the building - very useful for travellers with big bags. The apartment was spacious, clean and tidy. And the owner was really prompt in replying and helpful- we received lots of recommendations on the local cuisine and activities. There’s a fantastic cafe located at the bottom of the building which serves an amazing breakfast of scrambled eggs, pastries and cannolis.

- Nothing. It was great stay and my family enjoyed Cinque Terre, specially Vernazza. - It could have been better if elevator was working from ground floor and not 1st floor.
- Location. It was just 5 mins walk from Vernazza rail station - Host. He gave me every detail possible to make my stay wonderful. He even offered us to late checkout but we declined because we had to catch train. - Clean and comfortable beds - You can just walk from this property to Vernazza city center any time. - Laundry is at the ground floor.

There was some noise from construction work next door. No washer available (though there is a laundry mat next door). Pillows were a bit flat and did not provide enough support.

There is a restaurant/bar downstairs which was a bit noise later in the evening, but once things quieted down, there wasn't a sound throughout the rest of the night.
Entry was easy and secure. The little apartment was perfect for two people. Very comfortable bed, shower was nice and little kitchenette was perfect. Loved the location to Vernazza town, easy walk, and in a quiet area at the end of a street. Very near train station, so easy walk even pulling luggage. Host was very communicative starting a few days out, we had no problems at all with booking throughout our stay.

The apartment was spotlessly clean. Small but perfect for a base to tour the Cinque Terre. The location was excellent near the train station but away from the hustle and bustle. Giancomo was excellent at responding to messages and offered some great tips for places to eat. We had a wonderful time. Thank you.

Great Location, Super Host and Perfect apartment! Location: Very close to the Vernazza station. Hardly 4 to 5 minutes walk. No climbing of stairs needed as it has life. The breakfast place on the groundfloor is where we had the best breakfast of our tour. Apartment: One of the very clean, well thought, organized/equipped apartment that we stayed in. The apartment(4th floor) has lift - no issues with luggage or when you come back tired from hikes!! Each room has windows - great ventilation. Beds are comfy. The amenities are just perfect. Kitchen is Very well equipped/organized/neat. Host: Giacomo - the owner is just wonderful/approachable person. Very responsive and helpful. Helped us check-in early and leave our luggage. He met us in person, accompanied through the walk of Vernazza. Provided great recommendations. Would respond to any query within a very short time. Wi-Fi : decent - fast connection. My family loved the place and the whole experience. Would stay here everytime we visit Cinque Terre. Thank you Giacomo!!

The host Giacomo was awesome, very kind and welcoming and answered right away with any questions I had. The apt was so cute, very clean and a good size. The elevator was a bonus. The location was great, close to central with all the restaurants, but far enough away to not hear the crowds. Highly recommend
