Bright, clean, and irresistibly quirky. The bed was really comfortable, and the friendly staff went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect for us. We would go back in a heartbeat.

Lovely decor, the room was very large, clean, with a nice view of the terrace, and the bathroom was absolutely splendid. We got a voucher for a breakfast place nearby and communication with the hosts was excellent. Would definitely book again.

Owners are very helpful when messaged on WhatsApp but the new volunteers shouldn’t be left to manage the B&B if the owners don’t want their rating going down. While they probably do an OK job generally, they provide no introduction or information about the B&B when checking in (e.g. how the kitchen works, who to contact if any issues, etc) they have zero local knowledge so can’t help with any info or recommendations and are usually lounging around in their pijamas without any interest in engaging in conversation about Verona. Merely answer to “hello”. They should also keep the kitchen cleaner and the rubbish bins usable as they were always falling apart. When checking out, one of them saw me struggling to bring the bag down and could not even offer to help. They did not tidy up the room every night and on the last night when they did (because I asked for a new towel) they left the one dirty bowl I had in the room In the middle of the table, I think it could have been a small nice gesture to just taking it to the kitchen. Same as providing some tea which I clearly run out of. It’s never the same as having a paid professional host/employee or the owners looking after the property and guests. Good to give them some proper training.

Lovely b&b in Veroneta. If this hotel was in the middle of Verona old city would be perfection but even then it is great and I do recommend it. For people that don’t mind walking it is just 20 mins to the edge of the old city and 15 or so to the train station. Late at night walking alone as a female might feel a bit sketchy but I don’t think it’s dangerous. My biker room was fabulous. Big, cozy, beautifully decorated with lots of attention to detail, cozy, super comfy bed and pillows (something I’d never take for granted-thank you) practical and with a good tv w streaming services, big bathroom and super modern. The perfect room for a long stay! The only thing is that I could hear a lot of noise coming from the apartment above and also water running constantly when they were using the bathroom. There’s a cool desk maybe have some pen and paper-useful. And a print out of the recommendations in each room.

Nothing negative to say, only that the room had two beds pushed together as one, which isn’t always the most comfortable if you want to spread out and sleep more in the middle as a single person, but otherwise, zero issues!

Great communication upon booking, friendly check-in staff, large room, great amenities, extremely comfortable pillows, lovely bathroom, cool themed rooms, shared kitchen and garden, easy to locate.

I visited Casa Babbuino mid July, my first three impressions where immediately positive: 1. I arrived during the night … it was very easy to get a self check in with super fast and nice communication 2. Like 5 min / 350m away from the hotel is a public parking space for 5,- a day … there was always a lot of spaces available. Next to this in the streets it might be even possible to park for free .. I am not 100% sure of that 3. When I arrived at the hotel (the entrance is not so easy to find, because there is no big name in it .. but is this beautiful green door ..) the lobby was already to tasteful arranged .. the next I noticed was the absolutely gorgeous garden … then I entered my room and it was really big, the furniture was classy and new .. large bathroom… From the hotel to the start of the “old town” it’s like 10-15 min walk .. just one street easy to find. A supermarket is like 200 m away and some restaurants are around the corner. Over all the area is very quiet. With the easy parking options it’s a good starting point to visit locations around Verona .. like lake Garda is a 30 min drive. Thanks for the nice visited and especially the gin tonic at the end. Very comfortable and clean place: Casa Babbuino seems to be designed by experts who are excel at decorating. The garden is very nice, indeed. For example, I am an early bird, and I enjoy morning coffee. I prepared Italian coffee and drank while reading my book in the morning in the garden: peaceful and lovely garden.

The single glazing allowed some of the street noise to be heard in the room. There were some men hanging around the area all the time. We didn't feel very safe walking past them, although nothing ever happened.

The unique decor, themes and the size of the rooms. The arrangement with getting free drinking water whenever required was a great plus. Very comfortable beds and good cleaning standards.

Really nice place! Very friendly staff, easy communication with whatsapp, very clean. Information on parking before arrival, very handy. Beautiful little garden to enjoy, as well as a kitchen and a nice indoor common space. A gem in Verona - see you next time again!

It was all good

I was greeted by Elena when I arrived to check in, who was charming, friendly, and professional. I got back in the early hours of the morning after I returned from the opera, and Marco was very helpful with suggestions of places to see in Verona. Overall, it was a very nice, clean and pleasant place.

Better to choose rooms as “biker” oriented to the garden to avoid noice from the streed.

I can highly recommend it. Very clean, compfortable, beautiful design, magic garden, shared kitchen with all kitchen tools what you need. Perfect communication with owner. Very good location, near center.

Surprisingly clean room, gorgeous garden. Amazing style of the room and house. Fully equipped kitchen. We did have an amazing time there. Very comfortable bed, only it could be one big sized bed, not two small ones pulled togheter. 10/10

In Babbuino room there is some traffic noise - if you are sensitive to sound when sleeping take ear plugs.

Casa Babbuino is a beautiful property. We stayed in the Babbuino room which was spacious, clean and amazingly decorated. The monkey/primate theming is tasteful and interesting. We appreciated the use of organic toiletries in the bathroom. We made some use of the communal facilities such as the kitchen, garden and lounge. These facilities were well equipped. The garden is beautiful and we were lucky to chat to Marco and his wife about the garden and their plans. The property is secure and located on multiple bus services that go to the Arena and train station bus stops.

Really there was nothing I didn't like

It was very warm and welcoming, the room was large with all the mood cons, it was very easy to access the main area of Verona about a 15minute walk, with all it's attractions , and the owners where so friendly and helpful.

Beautifully decorated, clean, nice amenities, 10min walk from University (I had a Conference there so location was good, although to visit the more touristic areas it would be a 20min walk, although by bus it was fast). Staff was beyond kind, available through WhatsApp. I forgot my glasses there and they promptly offered to send it back to me. Couldn't recommend enough ☺️

Everything was perfect, the apartment is beautiful and so is the building also great location, walking distance to the city center. It exceeded my best expectations. The bed and pillows were also extremely comfortable.

Extra friendly staff (plus English-speaking) who go one step beyond to make a guest feel special and provide everything you might need. Cozy, comfortable, tastefully designed and super organized space. For me it was much better than I had imagined based on the photos. One day we came back earlier from the city just to enjoy the house. On top, we very much enjoyed little surprises, such as Netflix channel, how equipped the join kitchen is and that we could pick herbs in the garden, such as mint, thyme and even strawberries and grapes.

Music room was extremely noisy, you couldn’t easily fall asleep. It felt like the neighbours and cars on the street were in the room. Beds and pillows very uncomfortable. Two beds put together with a hole between them. Not comfortable for couples. Also, no duvet pillow for the bed, just two simple sheets covering it, which felt a bit weird. Room was never cleaned in 3 days, they didn’t even change the towels A bit far from the center- 15 mins walking. Nevertheless, the distance wasn’t the real problem, but the area which didn’t feel very safe…plus no restaurants for breakfast ( no breakfast possibility at the place) or lunch. Buuut….the WORST THING by far was the attitude of the woman at the reception (don’t know if she’s the owner or just an employee)…in the first evening we unfortunately forgot the card in the room, leaving us unable to enter the building and the room. When we returned to the hotel and realized that (around 9 pm) of course i called the lady and explained her the situation, asking her to forgive us. I feel entitled to cite her exact words : “ok, i can open you the outside door, BUT HOWEVER…HOW ARE YOU GOING TO ENTER THE ROOM?…BECAUSE I AM QUITE BUSY NOW”. It felt really rude and unprofessional her attitudine and voice tone. Like wanting to “punish us” for bad behaviour. Overall i really don’t understand the good reviews.
