Didnt really effect us but if this matters to some we couldnt see out of the window as it was so high up and the wall separating the bathroom from the room didnt go all the way up to the ceiling so there was no sound barrier

Bathroom wall was not covering all the way up to the roof, meaning you would hear anything happening there and vice versa.

Breakfast served to our room each morning at the rime we stipulated and it was lovely food. Big bright room. Can use the facilities of the hotel over the road. Hotel Gabbiano. Only 26 steps from the road to the property.

The only thing I think should be flagged is the power outages that regularly occur in Positano. It’s out of their control and this isn’t necessarily a negative, but was very confusing for us not knowing what was going on/if it was one of our appliances.

Beautiful room. Very clean. Great amenities for the size with lots of tea & coffee options. Reasonably priced bar-fridge. Staff were lovely and interested in your day, beautiful ocean views from the kitchen for breakfast. Sauna and hot tub on site which we didn’t get to use but was a lovely surprise!

It is a bit of a hike from town so be sure you can walk the steps. it’s also nice though to be away from the crowds.

We were in the Caprile suite and it was absolutely gorgeous. One of the most beautiful rooms, and by far the best views, we have ever had in a room. Breakfast was delicious on the large deck with gorgeous views of the sea. The pictures don’t show this but there is also a small kitchen (fridge, table, sink) that we appreciated as well.

At night you did have street noise.

The staff was friendly and breakfast was included but it was a long walk to the top of Positano and we did not have a balcony which was on us. But please make sure to book a balcony. The room itself was clean and also service every day.

Location of the hotel is at top of Positano and it was a stuggle at the end of the day to walk upto towards hotel.

We adore this hotel. It was our second time staying here and both times we have booked the King Suite with spa bath - just wow!! The room is huge with a large balcony and plunge pool. There is also a private courtyard out the back with lemon trees and a private entrance/exit to the room. The breakfast is phenomenal. The views are stunning from every window of the room and we love the location. The staff are also very lovely. We will keep coming back.

The steps to the property was my least favorite, but the staff helped with our luggage so it was not an issue.

This location and property was amazing. We loved the apartment we had with a beautiful patio and they served an excellent breakfast to our room. we would definitely come back here.

Everything was perfect

My husband and I stayed at Casa Caprile and had the most incredible time. From the moment we arrived, the staff was warm, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. Their attentiveness truly made us feel at home. Our room had the most breathtaking views from a private balcony—complete with a hot tub! Watching the sunset from there was pure magic. The location is perfect—close to everything in Positano, yet still feels like a peaceful escape. And the breakfast? Out of this world! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared each morning. We can’t recommend Casa Caprile highly enough. It was an absolute highlight of our trip, and we’re already dreaming about coming back!

The property is up a lot of stairs - but for the best views, this has to be the case. There is a bus running opposite the hotel which can take you to the property.

Loved our stay here. The property gives amazing views of Positano and the breakfast brought to your room each morning was full of variety and meant you could enjoy the views from the balcony. We were upgraded upon arrival and it really made our trip perfect.

There was nothing at all we didn’t like

We stayed for our honeymoon and were very kindly given a free upgrade to the Caprile Suite which was a beautiful suite with a balcony and terrace with hot tub. The staff were really welcoming and attentive, giving us everything we needed and more! We genuinely couldn’t fault it, our stay was perfect. The breakfast was delicious and we had a great selection to choose from. The suite had great facilities for tea and coffee, a minibar etc. We would love to return to Casa Caprile, it was the highlight of our trip to Italy, and we couldn’t recommend it enough.

Such a beautiful little hotel with incredible views and good service. Location is a 20 minute downhill walk to the centre of Positano. Parking was not free however with it costing us $40 for 24 hours but the car was stored in a safe location off the road! Breakfast was amazing with it being brought to the room & there was a wide selection to choose from. Would highly recommended for couples staying in Positano that prefer not to be in the busy centre.
