How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewAn amazing experience on the beautiful island of Procida. The best location ever. The boat itself (made in Poland !) is very cute and quite comfortable with a nice tarasse on the upper deck. You can admire the beauty of the place and sun sets. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I will come back for sure soon. Thank you so much

Verified reviewLorenzo and his family are outstanding hosts and we enjoyed harbour life at it’s best from our floating house rooftop in beautiful Procida including nearby beach with crystal clear water, amazing walks through the historic old town as well as various restaurants with fantastic seafood dinners directly at the pulsating harbour front. Just lovely and we absolutely recommend this place. Great thanks to Lorenzo&Co for having us:)

Verified reviewUnique and pleasant experience. Clean and modern room with all the necessary stuff for a comfortable stay. There is no kitchen corner, but there is a small fridge, a coffee machine, and cutlery. It's worth mentioning that the sea has been calm throughout our stay. I have no idea how it feels if the sea is shaky. Thanks for the unforgettable experience!
Keep in mind that this is really a floating house. Therefore, you will experience a minor tossing, even when the sea is completely calm. Keep that in mind if you have sea sickness. Otherwise, you'll enjoy the stay.

Verified reviewThis was a great way to end a 2-week trip to Italy! And also spend my 33rd birthday with my husband. We stayed in the Almalo #1 (there are a few Almalo boat house options), and this one was right on the corner of the marina. The houseboat itself was the perfect size for the two of us and it had all of the amenities that make a stay comfortable: Wifi, smart TV, mini fridge, coffee + tea maker, and AC!! It was very central to amazing restaurants, coffee shops, grocery store, ferry, and beach. There is also an additional facility at the marina for bathroom and showers, though the ones on the boat were just fine. Oh, and they also accommodated us coming on an earlier ferry! Lorenzo was very easy to reach on Whatsapp, and he also got us set up with rental bikes for a small fee (that was a huge highlight for us). It really was the perfect place to relax and soak in our last few days in Italy on this wonderful island. I also found it very affordable!
I think this may only be the case for Almalo #1, but the curtains on this boat weren't completely opaque. During the day, this was ok and you couldn't see through. However, at night with the internal lights on, my husband noted you could see right into the boat (bedroom and all). Our solution was moving the curtain from the closet and hanging it over the bedroom window. Another note, the nightlife does pop off around 9pm. As we stayed in the summertime (beginning of July), the kids on the island were fairly noisy in this area of the marina. My husband and I didn't mind too much, and it wasn't an all-night thing, but it is worth noting if you'd prefer a very quiet stay.

Verified reviewThe place was absolutely spectacular! Sleeping in a floating house was such a wonderful and unique experience. We were also able to check in earlier, which was a great help. Everything was perfect — I will definitely be coming back!
One morning, we woke up to find there was no water in the bathroom at all. We messaged the host, and he immediately told us how to fix it — super helpful and responsive.

Verified reviewGreat location, Lorenzo was a great host and allowed us to check in early.
Although it was as described, the shower and toilet arrangement wasn't as clear. The shower was very confined, and everything got wet , they was alternative facilities available, but it was like camping. Having to separate used paper in separate bins in the toilet was not very pleasant.

Verified reviewIt was a different experience to stay on a floating house. The terrace and the view is fantastic. Location is great. One of the best places to stay on the island.
It was difficult to communicate with Lorenzo. He didn’t answer clearly for our early check-in request. Didn’t say yes or no. When you have limited time, “maybe” doesn’t help to organize your day.

Verified reviewWe thoroughly enjoyed our stay on the houseboat. Lorenzo was an excellent host—very responsive and easy to communicate with. The bed was comfortable, and the views from the upper deck were fantastic. I would recommend it for a unique experience if you are looking for something other than a regular hotel room. The location was also excellent and made it easy to walk to restaurants and port.
We weren't aware beforehand that the boat is a shared space, with two separate rooms with private entrances and a shared upper deck. It felt a little cramped. The photos on booking show a little of all 3 floating houses so I would recommend making sure which one you are selecting. The bedroom and kitchen are all one small room and there is a separate bathroom. Other than that there is no other space if the weather is not good and you can’t use the upper deck.

Verified reviewVery nice location, beautiful views of sunset and sunrise. Closed to the beach, shops and transport. The beach is a 30 second walk from the boat. Clean enough (we tried different beaches they are all nice to swim and all with a touch of oils from boats). And a few minutes for shops and transports (bus to opposite site and boat to Ischia and Napoli). A nice rooftop for a lazy dinner on the boat (the 2 LEDs are super strong, it would be nice to have a softer light, ambient light from the bottom or a portable table light). Anyway we have enough light from the streets to eat.
Not what I don't like, but suggestions: I would like to be able to clean (correctly) dishes and cups after using them. We were at Almalo 1, it could be nice that the curtains are opaque and not translucent (at least for the bedroom). For people who are sensitive to noise, don't take Almalo 1 (the full floating boat room with square window view to the church). Teenagers are around full night.

Verified reviewThe location was great.off the mainstreet, but in the hub of the most picturesque part of the island.it was great waking up amongst the boats. Watching the sun set behind the old church and rise over Ischia. At night, the restaurants. and bars come to life . There is a free beach with amenities and a cool little bar 50 yards from the apartment
It would be nice to have a mirror in the room. And a towel hook

Verified reviewThe experience being between the boats and directly at the center was unique. The roof top terrace and the hosts also made the experience special. It is a house boat and you go with the ocean flow and that’s pretty awesome. It was so nice as we had the whole boat for us for a couple of days and then a couple shared the terrace with us :)
All fine
