We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

NorwayThe apartment itself was not very charming and a bit claustrophobic (the pictures gives quite an accurate description of the place). Lots of old furniture scattered around a bit randomly gave a messy impression of the place, I think It would look and feel better with only the bare essentials. The bed was the worst thing. Firstly, It must have been heavily infested with dust mites (I had a really bad reaction). Also, both the mattress and the pillow were really hard, "springy" and uncomfortable. I tried to compensate with several layers of blankets but it was not nearly enough. Also, the sink in the bathroom had a lot of toothpaste in it, the kitchen lacked the bare essentials and the fan above the stove was clogged (the room filled up with fume and smoke). The standard did really not match the price and I did not receive any compensation.
The apartment was large, the kitchen was charming and there was a balcony. The landlord was available (online) and polite, he engaged the neighbor for a bottle opener and was eager to get things sorted out for future tenants..

GermanyI had a wonderful stay. The apartment is clean, spacious and has good natual light. There is a balcony with good view. It is situated in a quiet and convenient location, being close to everything. I can see how it could be a fantastic place for a writer ;).
