How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewnice area.
The junior suite i booked for my daughter did not match my expectations. Less size for more money. 2 spots on the way to the location need improvement as it is dangerous for an electric vehicle when touching the ground.

Verified reviewThe Agriturismo is in a beautiful location, full of character. The food was delicious and the staff were all extremely kind and helpful. The kids loved the animals and playing with the kittens. The road up was ok in a normal car (estate).
We were disappointed to find that our room wasn’t actually in the main property, but right back down at the bottom of the hill in the main village, about 10 mins away. Although they were very helpful in providing a shuttle service up and down for dinner and breakfast, I think this should be made clear on booking. It wasn’t the ambiance I was expecting and also made dinner a much later experience with young kids.

Verified reviewI cannot praise this hotel enough. The welcome was warm and friendly, the room was amazing, the location is breathtaking and the food is sensational. One of the best breakfast buffets I've ever had at any hotel in the world ever. No, I'm not exaggerating, it's that good. And for the price? I just could not believe how good this hotel was. I am currently looking for any excuse to return to this part of the world so I can stay there again.
If you're driving, the road up to the property is challenging. Just check Google Earth or call the hotel before making the ascent. If your vehicle is wide or low, you may struggle.

Verified reviewThe setting was beautiful, rural & away from all the busyness found at Lake Como. The accommodation was perfect, air con to keep cool & comfortable beds for a good nights sleep. The staff were fantastic, helpful, offering advice & helping us out with lifts as we didn’t have a car. The restaurant served fantastic authentic food & wine.

Getting there not the easiest up a long and very narrow road.

Verified reviewThis is a very unique place. Overall experience was great, one of the best places Ihave been staying at for years. The room was spacious, bathroom clean, staff - just amazing.
Two things - the way to and from the house was scary. With 2 m wide car it is a traumatic experience and I wouldnt dare to repeat it. Secondly - there was no kettle (despite the room description).

Verified reviewVery kind staff, fabulous place
Rooms somewhat Spartan (not even a chair in the room), smelled a bit funky, shower looked a little mouldy. The route up to the place is tricky but worth it, the building and the place itself is marvellous.

Verified reviewcharming place
It would be nice to read a warni g about the road going to that place. If you have a SUV, leave it at home or you are going to scratch it. The road is super narrow, adrenalin ride

Verified reviewThis is as authentic as it can get. Agriturismo as it should be. In the middle of nowhere, local produce and a rustic vibe. The host was super nice and sweet and never put any pressure on us to eat there or buy any products. Ample parking area, very quiet and one can breathe the fresh and clean air.
Rooms need a bit of refurbishment especially the bathrooms. The road leading to the Agriturismo is very narrow, cobbled and bumpy with potholes.

Verified reviewRustic appearance and country location made this a real treat. Access to site was a challenge, but somewhat added to the charm.
Narrow one lane road was tricky to maneuver, especially meeting a big Mercedes coming down when going up. I also felt signage was very small and almost impossible to see when first turning off on their road. Then on each turn and intersection we had to search for the next piece of the puzzle. But finally arrived and were very pleased with the effort.

Location is very bad. If you drive a low car, better not to come. Street is very narrow and bumpy. Road is not good at all.

Verified reviewBeautiful building and comfortable rooms. My children loved all the farm animals. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We had to leave before breakfast in the morning and Lucy kindly packed us some takeaway breakfast for the road.
The road! It is at the top of a very narrow, steep cobblestone road. We almost didn't make it to the accommodation, as our family of 6 were in a Fiat van with a rather small engine and the clutch could not cope. We ended up calling for someone to come down and help us. After offloading our luggage to one of the staff car, the van made it up with the rest of us walking the last 10 min. I was quite stressed we wouldn't make it down in the morning so unfortunately I couldn't relax and enjoy the night as much as I otherwise would have.
