How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

I felt that the air conditioner did not cool the room sufficiently, which made it difficult for me to sleep. As a result, I was not fully rested and did not have the energy to go out and walk around.

Shower was small and awkward. Had a kettle but no cups or coffee/tea, Plastic cups in the bathroom but not ones that you could pour boiling water into.
Good location, room was fine and tidy. Receptionist was nice.

We had a little trouble with our AC the first night definitely not as strong and cool as it needed to be.
Very close to the train station which is why we booked this property! We didn’t want to walk our luggage through the city so it was perfect location!Definitely a little older than most places, but overall okay! The staff was helpful and we were able to leave our luggage after checkout until we needed to head back to the airport!

It was an extension electricity plug needed to get your phone charged.
The staff was really helpful. We had problems with the window lock and the electricity plug. They willingly came to our room to solve the issue

There was only 1 outlet in the room. Everything is very outdated. The walls are very scuffed up- some paint will go a long way! Smallest shower ever!
The location was excellent. The staff was very helpful. The room was clean. There was air conditioning and wonderful water pressure!

The entrance was steps (10) only with no railing. We had a person in the group with mobility issues and needed a railing for steps so they would have to go up and down the steps on their butt every day. It was terrible. We have never had this experience before and we could not stay here again. We did not let this spoil our week in Rome, but it did change some of our behavior because of the challenges to access the room.
The location close to transportation was a plus. The neighborhood had plenty of food offerings.

I arrived at night. The area feels a little unsafe at night when everything is closed and all the garbage is placed on the streets to be collected. Though this is more an Italian problem rather than hotel problem.
The location near the main railway station is very good. There are restaurants and other services nearby. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They willingly storaged my luggage after checking out.

The hotel was listed as having aircon, but it did not work, overall rooms could do with a deeper better clean. if the hotel was cleaner it would make a big difference, overall it's a nice place that needs a little TLC.
The staff were great and could not do enough for you, The location was great with lots of good places to eat and relax in the area, plus it was close to the train station. the hotel overall had a great feel and atmosphere. and it was easy to walk to the sights of Rome from here.

The location is perfect. But I think they need to improve the facilities. The building is old, I think this building has a lot of potential to become a better hotel.
The Location is amazing. Termini station is just 2 blocks away. Santa María Osteria, is delicious and is around the corner.

After 4pm there is only one member of staff - if an issue occurs (my room had the electricity trip and lock me out) they will struggle to deal with all the arriving guests and solve your issue. The ratings on Trip are harsh - this place is perfectly OK if you treat it as a two star hotel and not the four stars it claims!
The hotel is centrally located to the railway station and easy to find. The rooms are adequately sized and equipped.

The shower head was not in good working order, and it sprayed hard and painful streams of water. The shower door and the toilet flush button were both damaged.
