Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Czech RepublicOur room didn’t have a door in the bathroom :D It was rather unexpected, not necessarily a bad thing, but something to keep in mind
It was a very charming accommodation for 1 night. The rooms were authentic in rustic style, we manages to park just next to the building, so parking wasn’t an issue for us. Breakfast was also very nice, with both sweet and savory options, everything was fresh and good quality- exceeded our expectations . + you can enjoy the breakfast on a terrace with a stunning view on the mountains. Staff was also very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend!

United StatesThis hotel is a very small hotel? It is located on a mountain top in an ancient small town called San Benedetto in Perillis. The views from the mountain top are the most beautiful views in have ever seen. The town is 1400 years old, 1/3rd abandoned, 1/3 restored, and 1/3 in the process of being restored. The hotel rooms are updated, like New 1400 year old structures with modern luxuries. The windows over the valley. The owner does speak any English, so we used Google translator option on our phones. The included breakfast with excellent. If you're interested in walking around, abandoned 1400 year old buildings, my son and I had a wonderful walk around the town. Actually, it was remarkable. It's a good 20 drive to a restaurant, but the town does 1 very tiny store that has sofa, chips, wine, and some candy. Tiny town, incredible experience.

GermanyIf you like a savoury breakfast then you possibly will go hungry. Unfortunately there weren't really any vegan options except the fresh fruit. The hot water wasn't enough to fill the beautiful tub. The rooms didn't really have anywhere to sit comfortably except for the bed and I would have preferred a sofa more than a table with chairs (although the table and chairs are in line with classic Italian homes). Their was nowhere to store toiletries in the bathroom. The town doesn't have a single shop or restaurant so one has to travel circa 30 mins to have meals. None of this would stop me from returning though.
Breakfast was great if you like a sweet tooth as there were lots of homemade cakes. There was decaf coffee and oat milk too. The rooms are stunning. The views are stunning. The renovations are exceptionally done and the garden and terrace are quite glorious. The host was really wonderful and incredibly helpful. If you really want to get away and experience a hidden treasure then this is the place for it (this can have it's downsides too......). I hope that this establishment brings life back to this quaint mountain top top village and look forward to returning to see how the renovations develop.

United StatesCharme is the perfect name for this property. Cannot say enough good things about the staff, rooms & views. A short (20 min) ride up from Popoli sits San Benedetto in Perillis; if you’re looking for a relaxing spot to get away from it all this is for you. Our host Paola couldn’t have been sweeter or more accommodating. The homemade breakfast buffet was delicious and the rooms were so well appointed. The views were insane & I would book again in a heartbeat.

United StatesNothing. We loved it all. However, it would have been great to have an understanding of the remote nature of the property. Takes 20 minutes to drive down to the town where restaurants, stores, etc. were.
This lovely B&B is in a very remote, but beautiful location at the top of high hill overlooking the valley and mountains. It is restored from a 1700's farmhouse. The Staff is so friendly, breakfast is wonderful. Be ready for the mountain drive up the hill...but it's worth it.

GermanyIt would have been nice, to have one or two comfortable chairs in the rooms and towel hooks.
The people, the place and the history. Not for nothing is it called “Charme in Perillis”. The owner and staff, Paula and Angela, are charming in every sense of the word. Everything has a charming rustic touch but the WiFi is entirely modern. The combination of peace, stunning views and the tasteful restauration, using the original materials, makes a unique combination. We will certainly return, and more than once!

United StatesWe had a great stay at Charme in Perillis. It's a wonderful opportunity to stay in a carefully renovated old stone structure. The town was greatly affected by the 2009 earthquake, yet the dwelling is so well renovated and offers comfort and a splendid view of the mountains and valley. The hosts are very welcoming and provide a breakfast buffet to be enjoyed on their deck overlooking the valley. The room is unique yet comfortable and quiet for sleeping. We had a nice wine-tasting at the nearby vineyard (Ville Real), also drives into the mountains to good restaurants and various places to walk. Abruzzo is peaceful, not having the tour buses of some regions. We would definitely return when we can.
