An amazing property set right in the middle of a forest, giving it a really peaceful and natural vibe. The views are stunning from every angle, with medieval towns and rolling Tuscan hills all around. The apartment itself was spacious and even had its own private garden area, which was a great bonus. It feels especially well set up for families, but it’s also a wonderful place for couples. And of course, the pool is beautiful — perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring.

there is a bumpy road climbing up the mountain to the resort. unfortunately we got there at night and it was scary driving in the dark towards the gate. plus the resort it mostly covered in gravel its not super easy to walk on.

great breakfast. amazing views. great prime location to travel to various viliges from (pienza was our personal fivorite, montepulciano and more. ther is also an awesome outlet just 25 min away). we got a huge apartment beutifully renovated, so we could enjoy the toscany vibe with a modern comfortable interior. we really felt at home. they also ofer cooking lass for fair price - that was a nice touch

There are a few drawbacks, none of which I consider major, but they add up if you’re picky (I still think Cignella offers great value!): • The apartment needs better maintenance overall—a lot of things (hangers, holders, knobs, etc.) are broken or falling apart. • The bathrooms are spacious, but each has a relatively small shower. • The kitchen is somewhat under-equipped (no water cups, and we even had to buy dish soap). • Bugs get inside. I noticed this in reviews, but initially thought it was because people were leaving doors open at night. However, it’s because the doors and windows are poorly fitted, and bugs crawl in via the gaps even when everything is closed. I had to deal with about 10+ bugs each morning, which was a bit unpleasant.

- The apartment (it’s an apartment, not a detached house) is very spacious, even for larger families. The exposed beams and large windows look fantastic. - The beds are great, and the resort is very quiet in early October, so we slept really well. - The breakfast is good. While there is plenty of heavily processed supermarket food, you can still find good options! - Our apartment (Cielo) was a corner unit with an extra spacious garden (though the patios are not fully private, as they are connected through a shared garden). - Pretty good value for what it offers. - I read in reviews that the road to the resort was terrible, but it was better than expected. Yes, it’s a gravel road, but it’s just the last kilometer and takes about 3 minutes. Even our car with lowered suspension was fine—just drive slowly :) - Parking is easy, located just outside the apartments.

Maybe a little bit far away from next restaurant and super market. And we didn’t plan to cook ourselves. But then because of the distances we did cook. And experiences relaxed evenings at the location.

Beautiful location. Quiet. Friendly stuff. Very delicious breakfast. Lots of space in the apartment and on site. We travelled together with another family. It was perfect for our kids although we weren’t super lucky with the weather.

Unfortunately, the pool was under renovation, so we weren't able to use it, although it probably would have been too cold anyway 😀 I think it would be lovely to have maybe a few items in the kitchen for arrival, milk coffee, etc. Also washing up liquid , dish cloth, kitchen cleaning spray, and a t towel. 2 dishwasher tablets were provided, but when there's only 2 of you, you just need to hand-wash pots. Honestly, this is just feedback, we absolutely loved our stay and will definitely return 😀

Cignella is simply beautiful. The perfect place to relax and unwind. The scenery is incredible. The staff really friendly and welcoming. We were given an upgrade on arrival which was wonderful. Our accommodation was lovely.

Just felt a few things in the apartments needed attention such as leaky shower hoses, incorrect number of utensils in kitchens Door handles loose. Needs some tightening up on maintenance. But when raised it was dealt with such as curtain rail .

Please be aware the property was very confusing and difficult to find in the dark - wouldn't recommend checking in late. Signage wasn't obvious and it felt like we were driving up to an abandoned property, not a resort. Poor outdoor lighting everywhere - plus the light in front of our apartment was broken and tricky to access in the dark with the uneven ground/steps. Staff accommodated us on arrival and carted our bags on a golf cart, but barely spoke to us - zero instructions, and no manuals. For such a modern, gorgeous apartment it was odd to discover that it was very bare of essentials. For our 2x night stay there was only a couple of dishwasher tabs/sachets of dishwashing liquid and rubbish bins - but no cloths /tea towels / products for cleaning, no salt/pepper /coffee / tea or cooking oil, no hand soap/toiletries in bathrooms, and no spare toilet paper rolls. You really do have to stock up and bring everything with you. Suggest doing this beforehand as supermarkets are 20+ mins away and close by 8.30pm/9pm. There was a TV that didn't have any channels, with a DVD player and no DVDs (?) so it was basically a monitor, but we were at least able to cast to it from our phone using the WiFi. For a self-catering apartment, we expected more.

Definitely a gorgeous spot, apartment was HUGE and modern, very comfortable. Breakfast was incredible each morning, and we appreciated having a washing machine.

DON‘T GO THERE! The resort rating is not aligned with the quality of service it gives. If you like sleeping with 30+ spiders of different type and size in your apartment, Cignella resort welcomes you! The spider web together with spiders seem to be all over the house since forever. No one knows there what does CLEAN exactly mean and how does good care of the property looks like. Alright, Tuscany is crowded with insects, but ALL the window nets in the apartment were broken, so you can not open the window to get some fresh air at all. As we addressed our complaints to hotel management, the cleaning was promised, but the only thing they did is washed the floor in the middle of the living room, meanwhile all the spiders and nets stayed where they were. On top of that, small pieces of broken glass were found on the floor and the sharp screw was on the couch between the pillows - good catch before our kid met any of those. Rating 9 completely undeserved due to minimum hospitality provided: no infos upon arrival about the area and facilities, no contacts for questions, no desire to communicate neither to show the facility, nor to solve our problems. Disappointing!

Might have been a good property years ago. The only valuable thing for us was the washing machine.

Hot water was running low in the evening. Also the A/C which says it has, we didn't fint it. When we asked, we were told that the AC system is through the pavement, which we found weird and we didn't find, also if there is the AC system through the pavement you cannot regulate it. Anyways the house was cool, if you would keep shutters close during the hot hours and at night was fresh. Lack of staff, but apparently all Tuscany was suffering from the same issue.

Very comfortable villa with spacious rooms and common areas, perfect for a group of people. Nicely decorated with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Very recommendable.

A very big downside – the pool was extremely, extremely dirty. We have travelled a lot and have never seen such a dirty pool. There was no daily maintenance – no one removed grass, frogs, insects, hair, hair ties, or even spiders from the pool. The trash bin by the pool was overflowing and remained that way for at least three days. The outdoor terrace was also covered with debris and clearly needed cleaning. The access road was extremely difficult.

A fantastically beautiful and comfortable villa. Equipped with everything you need. We stayed as two families and everything was very convenient — the villa has 3 showers and toilets. The property is charming, with huge lavender bushes, beautiful landscaping, and roses. Large parking area.
