Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

A wonderful hotel in a quiet area of Udine within walking distance of the old town, with a delicious and varied breakfast. The hotel is in the shade of centuries-old Italian pines, and swimming in the pool is a pleasure. The hotel also offers the opportunity to taste and buy excellent local wine of the Antonutti brand. Thanks to Max for his care and restaurant recommendations!

IrelandBreakfast was good, but it was the same every day. After a couple of days, you start to get bored.
The pool area and the location were great. It’s about a 15–20 minute walk into town, and there’s a really nice ice cream shop just a minute from the hotel. The staff were superb

SwitzerlandThe secure parking is a bit tight if you have a larger vehicle but still manageable if you're patient.
Room was well appointed and clean. Though small, the pool was very good and provided a refreshing break during our travels. The breakfast was small but very tasty with excellent pastries, fruit and coffee. Staff were very helpful and friendly, and the location made it easy to get in and out of town.

United KingdomThe property inside could do with a little attention: the decor of the bedrooms (in the old building) was a little strange, mixing colours, materials and styles in a way that did not really work for us; and there are curtains where doors or screens would be better in the rooms and other areas of the hotel.
The hotel occupies partly an old building and partly a very modern building; it is characterful in different ways because of the different architecture. The hotel has a garden, in which there is the swimming pool and some trees and shrubs and seating, which is nice. (Although beware of the mosquitoes) We had 2 double rooms on the 1st floor of the old building. The rooms were quiet, one had a balcony which was nice. The beds were comfortable. The air con worked ok. The bathrooms were fine; not great but fine. The breakfast was nice; this was included in the room rate with our booking. The coffee machine produced decent coffee; there was decent bread, ham, cheese, cooked eggs; and also some fresh fruit and some very nice freshly baked pastries and cakes. There is an honesty system for drinks (water, beer etc) which is a nice, friendly touch. The off-road parking worked well for us; and the hotel seems to attract cyclists on bicycle touring holidays and I assume also works well for those with bikes.

AustriaIt takes forever to get a good amount of coffee in the morning with thise miniscule Italian servings. I would have liked the breakfast area to be available even before breakfast so that I could sit at a table and get some workd done.
The staff was friendly and the concept of a self-serve bar was excellent. The location was also quite good.

BrazilI asked for a room with a separate bed and they didn't give it. I asked for a cancellation and they said that because of Booking.com they couldn't cancel. As far as I know if guests and establishment are in agreement to cancel, Booking.com cancels. Booking.com should clarify. In the end we had to separate the beds. If it weren't for this incident, considering the price, it's a reasonable place.

GermanyThe room faced the street and was extremely noisy. In addition, there was the permanent sound with annoying "elevator music" from the garden side - a pity. You have to walk a bit to reach the city center.

NetherlandsThe signs asking guests not to splash in the pool are in line with the tranquil vibe, but are a bit of a challenge for the kids.
Fantastic oasis on the road further south. It's near the old center of Udine, which is definitely worth a visit. The four person rooms are perfect for a family with two small kids.

United KingdomCare outside
Our room had clearly been renovated and was lovely - this a property with such potential and only needs a little more love and care. The staff are great and our stay was really good. Location was good only 10/15 min walk to centre so perfect. Once the owners give the outside and public areas a little more love this will rise in price and be a beautiful place to stay. However this hotel is still worth booking!

NetherlandsPool times are restricted to daytime use. We were in the main building, had no elevator access and though the room was functional and clean, it was also clearly starting to show its age.
2023: Good relaxed family run atmosphere in a decent location. Perfect sized (12,5x4) small pool, decent breakfast options and coffee. Closed parking lot. Though the main building and annexes are slightly dated, some interesting and original architectural choices have been made in the use of materials.

Hong KongThe main light in the room went out of order in the last night of stay, apparently after some electrical work made during the day. The shift staff couldn't do anything around midnight and I was left staying in the room without any illumination except the reading light beside the bed. The hotel was very nice, centrally located, clean and well looked after. But this incident created some nuisance, particularly when I needed to finish writing some pieces urgently for the next morning. I found the way to "hack" with the illumination problem but it's down to my adaptability. Most other guests would have been very furious about the situation. Again, the hotel is fine but the incident could have been avoided.
breakfast is great, with reasonable range of choice. Italian dessert and ham is a delight.
