Wonderful host. Lovely modern room but vintage snippets. Could not fault it

I probably would have preferred a small fridge in my room rather than going to the communal area.

This is an amazing place to stay in Cagliari. It’s easily accessible by bus, and right next to Villanova, a beautiful area of Cagliari. But by far the best this about this accommodation is Viola, the host. She was so warm and helpful, recommending things to do around the city, assisting with any thing needed, recommending wonderful restaurants and bars, and even lending us equipment to bring to the beach! I would advise anyone coming to Cagliari to stay here.

If I could give 20 stars, I absolutely would! Our stay at this beautiful accommodation was simply perfect. Viola is an amazing woman – incredibly welcoming, kind, and always ready to help. The apartment was spotless, cozy, and decorated with great taste. It felt like home from the moment we arrived. The location is excellent – not far from the city center, with bus stops very close by, making everything easily accessible. Viola made sure we felt comfortable, gave us great tips on where to go, and truly made our experience unforgettable.Thank you for everything Viola! We will definitely come back again!

The host was extremly nice and provided us with all the information we needed for perfect stay in Cagliari.

The place is comfortable and newly renovated, well located with free public parking nearby. The greatest part however is the endless tips and advice of Viola, our host, who pointed us to the best places to eat and drink in Cagliari. 10/10 would recommend.

"Thank you" is not enough. Lovely place, very close to the main market streets, with a lovely hostess who makes you feel at home. Very warm welcome, plus she was so happy to fulfill our needs for a taxi to the airport, a towel for the beach, etc. There is breakfast, tea and coffee at your disposal at any time at the entrance. Comfortable bed and beautifully decorated room in a building on a quiet street. I highly recommend it and we will definitely come back.

Viola was super helpful and hospitable. She helped us map out the best route of the city and she let us store our bags before the room was even ready. The room itself was spacious and extremely clean. The shower was also amazing.

Luxury can be furnishings or services or simply the kindness of people. This accommodation definitely scores with the latter! We felt completely at home.

Very cozy and homely accommodation, where stylish furnishings and spotless cleanliness awaited us. We travel a lot, but this level of cleanliness is rare. The bed is very comfortable, the coffee maker is great! The host is very kind and helpful. It is probably difficult to find a better one in downtown Calgary.

Viola and Vito were exceptional hosts, they made us feel welcomed and at home. Love having a little breakfast and coffee available in the morning and a microwave.

Wish we could have stayed longer

Viola is a really friendly, nice, and helpful person. She assisted us with public transport, taxis, city taxes, and even pointed out on the map the must-see places in Cagliari. We spent five days at the guest house and were very happy with our choice. The room was perfect for two people—very clean, comfortable, and equipped with a private bathroom. The breakfast was also delicious and served on a lovely terrace. If we ever return to Cagliari, we’ll definitely choose Viola's guest house again.

This is a wonderful, family run Boutique hotel. We receive a very warm welcome and great service throughout our stay. The Guest House is well positioned to access all local attractions and get around the city, and is ideal for someone looking to immerse themselves completely within the local environment. Breakfast and amities were excellent. Our hosts were lovely, engaging and provided great suggestions as to where to go, what to see and where to eat. I would thoroughly recommend Contus Rétro Guest House and would be very happy to return!

Very cute guesthouse run by a cuter family. You can tell they've given design and comfort attention, and tried to make their guests' stay as comfortable as possible. And the breakfast on the terrace was wonderful.

Lovely room, comfortable bed and very clean. The location is close to the center. Breakfast is very good, a lot of options. The hosts are really nice and we loved the mascot Danny.

I loved the apartment - design, atmosphere, and people who make it special - all was wonderful.

In one word - delighted. Precise instructions for check-in. A beautifully decorated room with a bathroom with all the necessities. The homemade breakfast is excellent and is served on a wonderful terrace. The terrace is a pleasant surprise and has been transformed into a real small garden. The owner, Viola, pays special attention to details, and as a lover of beauty, that was an added bonus for me. If I ever return to Cagliari, I will definitely choose the same accommodation. Thank you for your kindness. You are a true inspiration.

Very friendly personell, clean and tidy rooms, central location but quiet in the nighttime. I can recommend this apartment to everyone!
