Lots are of stairs which is a problem for anyone with knee problems. Some rooms require a big climb and others less so. Maybe there are “easier” rooms but I suspect not. Our room was on the small side bit ok. The hotel is in the old city where non resident cars cannot enter. However, with proper registration through the hotel, you can enter through the restricted gate to ALMOST reach the hotel. You can leave your car at the square (piazza conciliazione) and take your luggage to the hotel and then move your car to parking outside of the control zone. Parking is a major hassle and if your have a car you should reserve one of the LIMITED parking spaces for $10 euros a day. We planned it out in advance and it was a significant enough headache that we never moved the car until check out. Maybe we are too chicken; others managed but those who arrived neither no preplanned parking were VERY UNHAPPY.

The place is clean and well managed. The staff is incredibly helpful all of the time. They arranged transportation to a party we attended at a hard to find Masseria.

Hotel in old town is good location. Room was dated and a bit dark but its an old historic castle! Breakfast was ok. They ran short on food and seemed not to have enough staff— but the staff that was there were always pleasant and helpful!! I would t rate it 4 star and IDK. … it could be the best there is in Conversano!!

Amazing location and the hotel itself. Ancient building preserved in al its grace. You really feel the heart of the town. Fantastic views from the rooms and from the rooftop restaurant. You couldn't be more central. Quality of the food in the restaurant is quite good. Good quality of linen and clean. The bathrooms are ridiculously small and quite old. Despite good work of cleaning team, you really feel that everything has to be changed (tiles, showers, toilets), it's unpleasant to be in such old bathroom that doesn't correspond modern standards. Almost no light in the bathroom which makes it really gloomy. The beds are very used. The bed linen are very clean and of good quality, but the bed itself really has to be changed. The waiters of the restaurant are friendly but really unprofessional (slow, forgetting, not knowing how to open the wine bottles) and the restaurant is really understaffed.

Parking can be a fuss. It is possible to park at a nearby gas station, if you find a place but this is not a nice option. Otherwise - paid parking on the street. There is one parling spot for the hotel at EUR10/day, but we didn't use it. Beds - not very comfy. I confirm that the room had all mentioned amenitis but it had nothing to do with the pictures. Sitting area was a corridor with two chairs - disappointment. Another dissapointment is that we couldn't use the SPA - it was reserved for the whole period of our stay which was very strange as there weren't any other people in the hotel during two of the three days (and it is supposed that hotel guests use it with advangate). In the last day they told us that all reservations for the spa were being cancelled as the water was cold (?!) - is this a spa hotel we really could not understand and this was one of the reasons to book it in the first place.

Location is very good - in the old town, easy to find, even by car. Nicely renovated old building with a lot of charm. You are practically in the heart of the old town of Conversano.

Everything felt old. the bathroom was so tiny and old. in a 4 people bedroom it didn't have a key. no drinks cabinet, some amenities like the pool and spa were to be booked and paid for so a little disappointing there. Also not soundproof, youc ould hear other guests talking.

room was small but clean, the views from the top floors are beautiful. The staff was nice and available. The breakfast was a decent buffet plus some à la carte stuff made to order. Parking isn't far and the surrounding town is great.

Breakfast was not as good as it should be. Pathetic pancakes. Terrible coffee machine. Things you couldn’t recognise The room was dark and gloomy. Very noisy each morning around 5.30am with deliveries or staff coming in for breakfast shift. Had to wear earplugs.

The overall feel and location was good. The bed was comfortable and the staff were nice enough. Very clean room

The breakfast staff were very stressed and far too busy. There was building work going on next to our room which started at 7am. This was far too early and woke us up. They stopped about 8am and restarted again later. A later start would have been very much appreciated.

Steep stairs. Balcony in superior room rather disappointing at little more than one metre square and only separated from next room by low fencing thereby affording no privacy.

Fantastic location in the heart of the old town. Very sympathetic restoration of old building. Good breakfast choice. Air conditioning much appreciated given outside temperatures of over 35 Celsius. Our visit coincided with a music festival which added to the atmosphere.

    Nothing of note.

The location was ideal. Our rooms were clean and spacious. The breakfast was a most pleasant experience. The staff were very helpful - a special mention to Francesco, who was always willing to assist with any query. The hotel was a welcome cooling respite from the scorching midday heat! Made us wish we could have stayed at the hotel longer.

The hotel has a nice spa. Nevertheless, it would help if the staff spoke better English and tried to explain how to navigate the spa itself and the services there.

this is a very special hotel, where it is different since the hotel is in a very old building. The rooms are nicely renovated our room had very beautiful ceiling. The location could not be better since it’s in the middle of this lovely medieval town.
