Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe Wifi was very poor. The bathtub was deep, unnecessarily smooth, raised, and slippery, presenting a challenge in getting in and out. They can replace it with a flatbed shower. The rest of the room was great.
The porch was great and gave an extra space for outdoor sunbathing. Breakfast was fantastic, and so were the staff. Metro was within reach, giving me access to almost every part of the city without digging deeper into my pocket.

Belgium- we were given our 2 rooms - one with an excellent modern air con and another with a old machine where room temperature was 28.8. I went to the reception and they changed the room after I complained. - the water was not very hot in the shower in the evening but it was ok since it was very hot outside. - The water in the swimming pool was translucent and blurry… - swimming pool opens from 09:30-18:30, early closing time for the summer. Also you need a cap to swim !! You can buy at the reception for 5€
The hotel was decent and next to Euroma 2 shopping mall. Close to bus stop Colombo Pacifico where you can take bus 070 and go to Eur Fermi metro and reach Rome Termini 40-50 min.The rooms were comfortable and the breakfast was ok. The hotel is clean.

GreeceThe breakfast was delicious, many things to choose from. The beds very comfortable the bathroom was very nice and the reception was very good! The only thing I was bummed about is the fact that the hotel is out of the city and so you need to travel by bus or metro which takes a bit of time. Other than that very nice!!!

KenyaThe breakfast menu and organization could definitely be improved. It was a little overwhelming going for breakfast.
I loved the room, it was clean. I loved that we could park our motor vehicle on site, there was ample parking. The hotel is near a bus stop whcih was convenient.

United StatesWhile I was able to get an iron from the front desk, the Hotel Cristoforo Colombo does not have have ironing boards available, which was a bit inconvenient since I was in Rome for business.
My room at the Hotel Cristoforo Colombo was comfortable and clean, there was a lot of variety at breakfast, and the location was excellent for the conference I attended in the EUR district.

GermanyWe chose this hotel because of the swimming pool and it was closed the day we arrived. The following day they opened it, but kept closing it at earlier times. My coworkers and I wanted to go after our conference, but we tried many days and it was always closed. Moreover, the public transport was not very reliable, so it always took us longer to reach our conference venue and ended up taking a bunch of taxis. This is of course not the hotel’s fault, but it’s important to keep in mind.
The breakfast was very good, the rooms were clean and comfortable. And in general the staff was very nice to us, specially at breakfast.

PakistanThe hotel misses that four star hotel aura. Maybe it’s just my and my wife’s feeling. Talking about the location of the hotel, it’s far away from the center and every worth visiting place in Rome. Apart from the food court in Euroma 2 shopping mall which is situated right next to the hotel, restaurants are also too far away.
The rooms were basically equipped with more or less everything you would expect in a four star hotel.

CanadaRoom was a bit beat up
Room was a little rough around the edges but clean. Breakfast was busy but actually really good. Pool is right by Cristoforo Columbo road - noisy, busy. Interesting neighborhood location - EUR offers a different slice of Rome in a good way. Easy to drive to FCO and also easy to drive into central Rome. Free parking is wonderful. Good stay for a reasonable price
