Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomIt was a little confusing that the room was described as a unit. when we got there there was no one at the property and we let us ourselves in using the instructions. There was an empty living room with no real furniture. Later we discovered there was a microwave there. Our room and the private bathroom were separate. So you have to go through the lounge room to get to your bathroom which was in the next door along. There were other doors but they were closed and we assumed that we were the only ones there. So it was a little surprising when walking to the bathroom in the morning I bumped into someone else. They were lovely and it wasn't a problem but I'm not sure I would have felt the same if it had been men staying there. The road is quite noisy but to be fair a lot of the roads in Pisa are quite noisy. There are blinds that help slightly with the noise..
Very close to train station. Very clean, extra toiletries and hair dryer in the bathroom. The beds were quite comfortable. There is a substantial air conditioning unit in the room and a net over the window so that you can open the window but not let the bugs in. You can move the net away and walk out onto the little balcony. There is Wi-Fi and it was good and easy to log onto. Each person was provided with a large towel and a small towel. There was a fridge in the room and a coffee maker with a couple of coffee pods. There are plenty of sockets for charging your devices. Instructions on how to get in the building were sent by WhatsApp and we were able to communicate with the owner/manager easily. It was very good value and convenient.

United KingdomI didn't realise when I booked that the private bathroom is outside the room. Not a major problem, but not so private if you have to enter a shared space to access it. It's on a very busy road, making it difficult to have a peaceful night's sleep, which I suppose is the price of being so close to the train station.
Our host was lovely and very helpful. The room is spotlessly clean and very comfortable, and the shower is good/powerful. The location is very convenient, only 2 minutes walk from Pisa Central Train Station. Good value for money.

GermanyThe room is directly over the road so it’s very loud no matter what you do. Also on the last night of my visit the water wouldn’t stay warm and I had to take a lukewarm shower, not too bad though.
I really liked the location, it was quite easy to reach by foot both from the airport and the train station. The host was super nice and honestly the best person I have ever met.

Czech RepublicThe toilet is inside the shower which means you have the wetness there after showering, but it dries quite quickly.
Amazing value for money, very close to the train station and walking distance to the tower and airport. The host is very nice and adaptive. Comfortable nicely designed room. Would stay here again.

Malta1. The bathroom was not directly connected to the room, but it's not a deal breaker as it's just next to the bedroom door(less than a meter away) 2. This was like an afterthought, but the toilet was placed inside the shower, I guess I understand the decision due to space constraints.
It was very close to all main amenities, the train station and just 15 to 20 minutes from duomo/tower of Pisa for an affordable price. I highly recommend and will rent again.

United KingdomI had a great stay in this room! It’s conveniently located just a few minutes' walk from the train station and about a 30-minute walk to the Leaning Tower. I needed to work during the day, and the internet was fast and reliable, which was perfect for my needs. Communication with the host was smooth and easy, and they were always quick to respond to any questions.

SwitzerlandWe only got the info about how to get there 1.5h before we arrived. If you don't have data you're lost. The location on booking.com is wrong, you need to use Google Maps. We didnt get full info beforehand, so shortly after we arrived somebody ringed the bell. As we just finished a call with the owner, we thought it's just somebody on the street and didnt open. But then the mother screamed at us from the other side while I was sitting on the balcony. Only then we got informed that she will come regularely to feed a parrot that apparently lives in the flat (it's not a hotel, it's basically a room and a bathroom in an empty flat with other rooms, didnt know if there were others or not but we ended up being the only ones). We would have wished to get the complete info earlier and complete.
The location of the room is perfect, The room itself is nice and even has a balcony

United KingdomVery practical location - it's actually much better to be based near the station, as it's easier for airport connections and also to go into the city centre or head out on day trips on the trains. Room very spacious and comfortable, blinds and air conditioning allows an escape from hot days. Mini fridge in the room very convenient.

AlbaniaDuring booking, we were asked to state an approximate time of arrival, which we did input weeks prior to traveling to Pisa. It happened that we did found ourselves at the premisses some 2 hours before the communicated time of our arrival (but of course well over the potential earliest check-in time set from the property). The host might as well share ahead of time with the tourist all necessary ways how to check in comfortably in the premisses. In this apartment this is the case, as they had a safe way to open the main door of the building, with no keys, and also had a locker in the front door of the apartment.
The place was near the train station, and by all means near to the principal shopping street. Nice clean small bathroom. the room was part of a larger apartment, which was not ready to be available in it's full capacity.

United KingdomI hadn't noticed that the private bathroom was outside the room. The bathroom is lovely. However it's a little strange with the toilet inside the shower. This didn't bother me too much.
The room was very comfortable, very convenient location. It was good to have a fridge in the room. The room is beautifully decorated.

United KingdomIt's a room within the hosts apartment therefore is not your own space but you have a room and your own external bathroom in the apartment. This is not what I expected as it is not listed as this. I would not have booked this if I'd have known it was a shared apartment.
It was close to the train station which is what we needed for our stay. The host was very communicative and gave clear instructions for how to access the property. The fridge was a good addition to the room.

United StatesThe apartment was not ready at check in. The lady that runs it had construction workers in the living room and after we arrived tired from our long train ride she asked us to leave and come back in an hour so they could finish their work. The apartment smelled like paint all night so it wasn’t too pleasant to breathe in. We went to our booked tour for the leaning tower in the morning and came back right before check out to grab our luggage to a couple waiting for us to give them the keys (they were there for the same room before our check out time not sure why), while our stuff was still in the room. Not very professional:/
Very close to the train station. Good for one night.
