Reviews of Hotel Désirée - Garda Lake Collection 3 stars

The location was perfect it was almost at the end of Sirmione so away from the hustle & bustle of the touristy bit.

The parking situation and getting to the hotel wasn’t explained until after confirming our stay. It cost an extra €20 & a free shuttle ride to the hotel. I highly recommend asking about this before paying

Great location, quiet, beautiful setting, good sized rooms. Very good location if you have a dog.

Our room had a balcony but it was at the back of the building over the kitchen back door, so we didn’t use the balcony and it was noisy if we left our balcony door open.

Everything was fine and the staff was very nice and helpful.

The inventory would need to be replaced.

Great location about 10 min walk from the centre. Hotel is clean and comfortable, we had a lakeside view which was fabulous for watching the sun set over the lake. Well placed for Jamaica beach and the Roman ruins. Breakfast was excellent, bar snacks ok.

The rooms only had disposable plastic cups, would have been nice to have glasses. Bar shuts too early (10) would have liked to be able to have a nightcap. Carpets in the hallways could do with updating, but rooms were spotless.

A little bit of an uphill walk from the centre, also bar closes at 11pm, a bit early for a hotel I taught.

The location of the hotel is great and the view to Lago di Garda is amazing. The rooms are quiet and nice.

The staff was very slow both at check-in and at check-out. They were not informing us upfront about the fact that the hotel can not be reached by car during the day due to the ZTL in the city centre. Should we had this information we would have planned our arrival differently.

Any small issues with e.g. shower were fixed very promptly -the staff were very attentive to our needs.

It is in a great location, friendly staff, parking for our motorcycle and views of the lake. Fabulous choice for breakfast each morning.

The twin bed was very small and the room we got was facing a rear side. I wish we booked a lake view room.

Easy to access, ample parking, very walkable to main attractions. The buffet breakfast was also incredible

The room is basic and relatively small but you won’t be spending much time in it.

The pool area was lovely and peaceful. Breakfast was tasty and lots of choice. Staff were friendly and helpful

Air con was not very good

Breakfast included a great variety of hot and cold. The location was superb to get into and away from the hub of the vibrant town. The pool was gorgeous, not huge but you could always get a lounger.

The main hotel reception and restaurant would benefit from being air conditioned to create a great space to socialise outside of your rooms.

Great location and the pool was clean with a good number of sun beds. Breakfast was fine too.

Nothing really. Bar drinks were expensive & the bar shut at 10pm which seemed early. Other hotels seemed to have late night entertainment too which we did not have.
