A beautiful location, surrounded by olive trees, geckos and tomato plants. Vittoria is an attentive host, solving all problems that may arise. She constantly brought us bounty from her garden and was on hand to give tips on beaches to visit, or place to buy wine.

    A rural Southern Italian dream...

Some days (and nights), air quality was quite poor due to the burning of with Xylella infected olive groves. People with respiratory diseases may struggle, but this applies to the entire southern region of Puglia in general.

My husband und I spent three weeks at the Opuntia and we enjoyed our stay very much. Vittoria was a fabulous hostess, always available and helpful in every aspect, without imposing on us. We were pampered with little italian treats and benefited from her being a local - getting valuable tips regarding local festivities & recommendable places to visit. The well equiped appartements are perfectly suited for couples who seek the quiet of the countryside and who can appreciate flora and fauna. We enjoyed sunsets from the roof terrace, the mysterious calls of the Scops-owls at nightfall, flowering cacti, breakfast with geckos under the olive tree and fresh vegetables from Vittorias garden - just to mention some of the highlights.
