Reviews of Domo 20 Hotel & Rooftop

Our stay at Domo20 was delightful. The facilities were very clean and as advertised. The stand out during our stay was the staff. Everyone was so incredibly warm and welcoming. We felt right at home in their presence. Chief of all were Mario and Mena who did everything possible to make our stay a comfortable one. I would recommend Domo20 due to the amazing hospitality.

This has nothing to do with the property itself, but the minimum price for a taxi in Vico Equense was €30. We got charged €30 for trips to locations 6 minutes away. That significantly drove up the price of our stay and did leave a bit of a sour taste.

The staff were so friendly and helpful, they really went above and beyond. The views from the rooftop pool were fabulous and the food delicious. Our room was comfortable and clean. The shuttle service offered was also a great addition.

Accessing the property from the town while not that far away, is a very steep incline walk and would not be suitable for someone with accessibility issues. The walk is very tough however it is still quite close to the town. We had wished that the rooftop bar at night had a better atmosphere as it was just very quiet with few people there which is a shame because the views and the food were great.

Very friendly and helpful front desk staff, breakfast was nice. Staff were flexible and very accommodating in arranging the shuttle from the hotel.

Location was a little removed from the center if you are walking. The downhill walk was easy but walking back to the hotel was difficult, especially for young children and older adults. Bathroom was not thought out properly, no where to hang towels and no toilet roll holder.

Fantastic hotel. The staff were exceptional and went out of their way to help us in every way possible. We were brought up from the station within a few minutes of arriving at Vico equense station. I highly recommend you take advantage of the suttle to the station when arriving with your luggage. Most of the other times we just walked. As the other reviews stated the hill is step and can be tough in the August heat, but we were fine with it. The hotel is in a very quiet area, and had a good choice breakfast. We had the family room which was clean with a good minimal design. The food and the view on the top floor restaurant and bar are amazing and well priced, you should try it at least once during your stay.

Location is not great, tourists places are too far away

We stayed at a lovely accommodation located in a quiet little town just a few kilometers away from the lively center of Sorrento. The location was peaceful and well-connected, with easy access to the train line that takes you directly into Sorrento and beyond. Our room was simple, with a small bathroom — nothing fancy, but clean and functional for our stay. One downside was the drink prices, which were quite high, especially at the rooftop bar (similar to what you might find in Amalfi). A big shout-out to Marioto, who made sure we felt welcome throughout our stay. On the day of our departure, he even prepared a small takeaway breakfast for us, which was a thoughtful touch. One thing to keep in mind: the taxi ride from the hotel to the train station (about 800 meters away) cost us €35, which felt quite overpriced for such a short distance.

It’s a hike up from the coast but they do offer a free pick up and drop off to the centre, very nice of them.

We truly appreciated the warm and welcoming atmosphere from the moment we arrived. The staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. They were also very helpful in sharing information about the area and recommending must-visit spots. I loved the rooftop, especially with the sunset. Really recommend this place if you are visiting Sorrento/Vico Equense. Thank you for everything

The view of the north-west facing rooms and the rooftop bar/restaurant was perfect. You could see all of the bay of Naples and sunset from the balcony and rooftop bar. The food was really good. The roof had a small pool (not large enough for swimming) which had a great view and was very comfortable on the hot days. The train station was only a 15 minute walk away.

The morning scrambled eggs were variable in quality. Walking to the hotel required persons to go up steep roads or steps, however, that is the nature of the steep towns in the area and the prominent views from the hotel.

The service at the reception was very good, the view from the room was very beautiful, the view from the rooftop was also very beautiful, there was parking, which was very convenient and that was mainly why they chose this hotel.

The breakfast was very poor, the food in the restaurant was not good, the child did not eat, but we are grateful that they took the price off, because they did not cook it as ordered, the cocktails were also not good. The waiters did their best to serve, but unfortunately they did not know how and it was obvious that they had not undergone special training. The water in the pool smelled very much of chlorine, we only swam once in four days. The city was not touristy, walking down from the hotel was very dangerous, because there were no sidewalks and you had to walk down the street next to cars that were driving fast. Overall, the hotel was not bad, but the pictures left a better impression in terms of service and level. Also, there was a mention of Michelin on the website, which could not correspond to reality.

Everything was amazing, the staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable, sitting around the rooftop pool watching the sunset was an incredible experience.
