Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Very cosy, clean and spacious apartment. The location is also very close to main attractions and restaurants. Apartment had all necessary things that one apartment should have. Although I never got the name of the host, he was very friendly and helpful. He was always there if i had any questions and gave pretty useful directions. Because I had late flight, he gave me a little snack and cold water which really hit the spot. Thank you! :)

I would recommend adding an extra wardrobe for clothes, but that’s just a minor suggestion. 🙂
The room was excellent. Mimi is a very kind and welcoming host, as is his wife. They kindly allowed us to leave our luggage at the property, as we arrived well before check-in time. The room was very clean and had everything we needed for a short stay. Towels were changed during our visit, and breakfast was available nearby. The location is well connected by public transport and close to the city center.

We went in the winter and the room got quite cold because the ceiling is really high - the A/C unit is small so it didn't heat the room fully. The shower head needs cleaning as the water only came out of a few holes so showering was quite challenging
The location is really good! The bed was comfortable and it was a big spacious room. Very kind hosts and the breakfast was a short walk away at a nearby cafe - fresh yummy pastries!

Everything was great
Everything was great. The room and bathroom were clean and had everything that you could need. Breakfast was at a bar near by and we enjoyed our cappuccino there in the morning.

It’s in a really good location, very close to the city centre and also close to the beaches! Very comfortable beds and good shower also. The rooms were very open

Landlords was very nice and helpfull. Apartment was clean and comfy in the city centre. One thing who is a lil bit annoying that the apartment its close to busy street so is noisy from early morning so for people who have light sleep could be distrub for long stay. But apart from that everything it's great! And i truly recommend this place.

Very load environment. Only for yougsters who want to have fun at night.
Everything was as expected. The spacious appartment (2 rooms) was spotless clean. The appartment was very central and very good to be reached with public transports. The environment is quite load: the room opens to a very busy road and a Piazza with a number of bars with rather high acivity.

I didn't like the windows on the street. It was noisy. Plus, it was very cold in the room. Towels were dirty. And linen smelled not fresh.

Unfortunately the toilet was almost not useable and the shower head had to be hold in the hands. The rest was good.
