Reviews of Elda Hotel 4 stars

The best location for Umbra Forrest (10min walk or 3min drive), easy parking on site, quality staff, amazing food (contrary to some of the reviews below), enjoyable aperitivo, great value (room, aperitivo, restaurant, included breakfast), historic building with high standard of renovation, the breakfast was exceptional. Good opportunity to meet other guests. A very enjoyable stay.

Later than usual check in time (4pm), rooms have quite thin walls (understandable given the special history of this building) but we didn’t have any issues with our neighbours.

Breakfast, room size, friendly staff (especially staff in the restaurant) and surrounding of the hotel! Nice place for a family to walk around the surrounding of the hotel. We saw a small fox while walking in the nature and this is the best moment during our holidays in Italy for my son. Highly recommend to this hotel.

Nothing at all!

It’s just amazing that you can stay in the heart of the forest and start your trails straight from the hotel ! Bed was very comfy and breakfast had both sweet and savoury options !

Beautiful hotel in the heart of the forest. Tranquil and amazing to wake up to the sound of the birds.

We waited a long time for our breakfast to be served and the bar area is very small.

The hotel is in the middle of the Umbra forest, the air quality is very pure. The room was very clean, we had dinner at the restaurant downstairs and the food was delicious. The stuff was really nice as well

For the price that clients pay for the stay in this amazing hotel, we would have liked a bottle of water included in the price of the room. We had to pay extra for the bottles of water.

It's such a nice new hotel in the middle of gargano. Clean and comfortable rooms with big bathroom. Beautiful views, very good breakfast and very nice restaurant (the pasta was absolutely amazing)

Only 1 pillow per person in the room and I always look for extra pillows, can't sleep with just 1.

Amazing location. Make sure to visit the deers and the lakes. We rented bikes (also for the kids) it was amazing.

The dinner was expensive and the portions were very small. Since afaik its the only restaurant in the area, its a problem. I don't need gold on my food (there is pasta with gold on it) but I do need to be full after paying 90 euros. We filled up on bread as the lamb and pork were super small. The best dish was the pasta from the kids menu. Breakfast was also a joke, no fruit no vegetables just suger (cakes, jam, yogurt). After we complained they brought out 1 typenof sliced cheese. 5 minutes before closing time they brought ham. Very disappointing. TLDR good hotel bad food.

The locker room, wasn't very easy to get the key out

The facilities were very good, and the staff were pleasant and attentive, although we found basic communication difficult due to a language barrier.

It is very remote, which is good and bad! Basically we were restricted to using the hotel restaurant every night, and even though the food we ate was excellent, we found the menu to be monotonous.

Everything was perfect and we were well looked after. Very creative evening meal, great choices and breakfast was best so far in Italy. Nice to be in the forest. Also had a kettle in our room, big plus.

The room was excellent and the staff very friendly. The location in the forest was good.

The food in the restaurant was good but a little expensive, but there were no convenient alternatives. However, the breakfast was not to the same standard.
