Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IrelandAs mentioned by others there were functions on two out the three nights we were there. On the Sunday we had to leave the pool area at 12.30. You can go to the pool next door in the Savoy so it’s not too much of a problem. On our last day the gardeners were working around the pool so it was constant noise of strummers, trimmers and lawnmowers for a few hours. It was 5 euro extra if you wanted any kind of Egg or fresh orange juice for breakfast. We had no problem with noise from the events.
The Decor was beautiful, the gardens and the pool were lovely. The staff were all very helpful. The bed very comfortable and the view from our balcony back to the mountains and the Paestum temples was gorgeous. The breakfast was very nice. The beach club 93 that was free was very nice, it was about a 15 minute walk from the hotel or you could get the free shuttle bus. It was expensive at 18 Euro for an Aperol Spritz. You really need a car to stay here. It was too hot to walk far when we were there. We were not able to have an evening meal in the hotel as there were functions on. We had access to the hotel Savoy next door where we ate twice in the tre olivi restaurant. The staff and the food here were great. It’s a very attractive area for a meal or a drink. If you need supplies of water or anything there is the Athena beach club and camp site across the road from the Savoy. This has a general shop. We ate in the Athena beach club one night.Food and drink were very reasonable and the sunset was gorgeous.

EstoniaThe air conditioner in our room was not working. We pointed this out to an employee two times with now help. The door frame was a little "old". Every time someone moved in the corridor or we opened the balcony it was cracking and the small noise it made started to bother us. It took us over an hour to check-out and we were rushed to the airport. The breakfast staff seemed to be tired every day and we had to ask for coffee instead of being offered.
Charming and elegant atmosphere, especially in the lobby area and pool side, combining modern comfort with classic sophistication. Wide selection of amenities and nearby are some really good restaurants but at times over priced for the value.

United KingdomThe prices at the beach bar (about a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel) for drinks and food was expensive. We didn't eat in the restaurant at the hotel as again, it was very expensive. You do need a car for this beautiful hotel as it would be expensive to hire a taxi to get anywhere. . I think having a basket for used sunbed towels would be good rather than guests leaving them on the sunbeds would be a good idea, as I saw people trying to look for a sunbed around the beautiful pool but thought that the sunbeds were taken!
The hotel is beautiful. We had a double room on the third floor overlooking the swimming pool. The room was on the small side but lovely none the less. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable.

United KingdomBreakfast could be better.
Beachclub 96 is included in your stay and they allowed us to use the beach from 10am despite our checkin being at 3pm. This was amazing and we felt very welcomed. We also were permitted to stay to use the pool until we had to leave for our flight which made our final day alot less stressfull as we had an evening flight. The hotel is beautiful and the staff are very kind. They accomdated all our needs and wants. They make a very good cosmopolitan in the bar!

United KingdomThe property wasn’t particularly busy so it did lack a little atmosphere however I’m sure it’s still low season. A recommendation would be to also have towels by the pool just for ease of use.
The property had great decor throughout. Very tasteful and extremely well looked after. Everything from the concierge, breakfast, the pool and the beach club. We were looked after throughout our stay. The selection at breakfast was delicious and certainly plentiful. The beach club had a very nice relaxing feel with the drink options giving the extra holiday feel. We also enjoyed the use of the bicycle to explore the surroundings including the historical temples in Paestum.

NetherlandsEverything was perfect.
Beautiful hotel with smart rooms, a beautiful garden and large swimming pool. And the staff was very kind and helpful, arranging a garage we could go to (on a public holiday) to fix a flat tyre. And of course: a perfect spot from which to visit the stunning ruins of Paestum.

United KingdomThe location wasn’t ideal at that time of the year it’s located on a long beach and everything was still shut down when we visited (Easter holidays - April) so, even if the weather had been good (which unfortunately wasn’t the case) we wouldn’t have been able to enjoy it. And we had to take the car every time we wanted to have a meal.
The service and staff were great - very friendly and helpful (as was the owners!). The hotel is beautiful and the common areas are nicely decorated. It is spotless clean and very comfortable. A real boutique hotel!

United StatesThe area itself isn’t fancy at all but the draw is Paestum ruins. The hotel is lovely - very nicely renovated with gorgeous sitting areas and very nice rooms. Great amenities also. The two downsides were that they have frequent events here it seems, and that can be loud with guests banging doors late at night, music etc. While the breakfast is nice, the offer of eggs was a bit underwhelming. The scrambled eggs seemed like they had been cooked earlier but left to heat under a lamp or in the oven and were hard and rubbery. That was disappointing. But the staff were all very helpful and friendly.

CanadaAs we didn't have a car we needed a cab to get anywhere and it was a flat rate of 15 or 20 Euros each time out. Outside of walking to the beach there is nothing really around the property.
Staff was excellent, amenities were great. We spent 3 days there and enjoyed the luxury of a quiet break. Limited food selection but very good quality. Beautiful gardens and a nice outside area.

North MacedoniaSomething that could be improved is the connection from and to the train station in Paestum which is no more than 2 km away. Taxi services are more expensive for those two kilometers than the journey itself to the nearest cities (Salerno, Naples). Maybe arrange a shuttle bus?
We spent a wonderful eight days with my daughter. Very pleased with the services we received, the individual approach and care for each guest, the kindness and willingness to meet the requests and needs of the guests. Top hygiene in all hotel facilities (the restaurant, rooms, pool and common public areas). Excellent food and service in the restaurant (of the hotel and of the neighboring sister hotel Savoy where dinner was served if the hotel restaurant was not open). Through local specialties and wines, we got to know Italy and the Campania region better. The organization of weddings in the hotel gave an additional charm, I mention this because the majority of comments refer to this very thing. The music of the wedding celebrations was not loud, and the time of rest was observed. The hotel's beach bar 93 also offer free sunbeds with umbrellas, bottled drinking water and towels, with the option of a light meal on the beach or lunch in the restaurant. You can use bikes for free to explore the surroundings and the nearby amazing archaeological site in Paestum. Boat tour to Amalfi Coast from Salerno highly recommended :)

PortugalThere was a private event at the pool so we could not use it. For the price you pay to stay here, this is not acceptable. Also, I think the breakfast does not offer so many options as it should.

-Super friendly staff. - Exceptional breakfast. - The rooms were spotless. - Some of the (older?) reviews state that the place has not been renovated. As of September 2023, this is not true. Everything looks great as in the pictures. All in all, it's an incredible location.

GermanyNice and clean facilities. Comfortable bed. The Spa is not for free use of hotel guests. Cost is 50€ per person for 150 min use of the spa. This should be highlighted more transparently as I expect differently from a „spa hotel“. We were there in April for Easter and no sunbeds were provided in the pool area, bar was closed and very little choice in the breakfast buffet (off season I guess)
