Only one small issue was the bed kept separating as it was two single mattresses pushed together to create a double size.

The property was in a terrific spot, perfectly clean and even had access to outdoor seating to enjoy the afternoon sunshine! The apartment was perfect for the two of us, with a great bathroom and kitchenette.

The only point I should say is that the lack of a refrigerator was a challenge. Although before booking the room I knew about this issue. However, I think it can be a good idea to mention it. Overall, the room just had one disadvantage.

First of all, I appreciate the respectful behavior of the landlord (Gianluca). He is so supportive. The room is so clean, neat and also new. As I know, many hotels and apartments in Potenza are so old but it is a renew room.

Interesting history to the building and its hydraulic lift. Quirky - the security includes geese in the car park which I found comforting! Very close to the historic centre of Potenza - you don’t have to climb too many stairs!

The room is situated in an apartment with shared facilities and the entire building is currently undergoing some renovation which should finish soon and didn’t affect the overall pleasant stay.

The owner keeps some goose in the parking area. They have a tiny little water basin, no grass and it's a universe away from what those animals need for a happy life. I felt sorry for them. They shouldn't live like that.

I had not a good experience in that house and it started before I arrived when the owner told me that he will decide after my arrival if I can bring in my dog, because he have to check the health status of him. In my entire life I never was told that. For no reason he suggested that incredible idea that my dog could sleep in the garage. He is asking 10 euros for the dog, but this price wasn't shown when I booked the room. That was mentioned at the email confirmation on page 176 (really long and in Italian). He also wanted some more money for the early check in. But the room was already finished when I booked. The room was very small and you could hear all the neighbours. I barely slept. Sharing a bathroom is always a special thing, but I knew that before. Next morning I couldn't enter it for 30 minutes because it was blocked by another guest. A day before i have been in another house, same price, 30 sq meter rooms and no extra for the dog. The same I had the day after when I booked another room (and i got an entire house). So I can tell that this room is overpriced. With all the extra costs i could easily go to a better place, without hustle, discussions and including the dog. But I am travelling on a small budget and usually even the cheapest houses are ok. The hotel is in a safe area and you can park there. The house itself has an interesting architecture which I liked. The owner offered his garage for my hiking cart ( for free), which was very helpful and he donated 5 euro to my social project Trees of Memory by cutting off the price for the dog, after I complained massively about the extra cost strategy. To be honest. I wanted to cancel and asked him to give me back my money, so I could go somewhere. After that he upgraded my room with an extra bed. I still don't know why, because I am on my own and the dog sleeps on the floor. But anyway Thanks for all of that.

The owner is too intrusive, hot water is limited to 3 minutes in the shower, limited heating, parking you have to make the owner's phone ring, everything is too possessive...

The room was exactly as advertised - it met all of our expectations. We cannot think of anything that required any upgrading.

Location was great, close to lifts to the upper part of town. Good coffee shop and a small grocery store next door. Gianluca was terrific. He helped us move in, gave us a nice introduction to the area, to some unique trees and some interesting feathered friends. He even took us to our car rental agency!! He was friendly, outgoing and humourous. In spite of the fact that he knew little English and we knew even less Italian, Google translate filled in the gaps. The room was spotlessly clean and well maintained. Parking was right outside the back door in a dedicated parking area - very convenient. Nice patio area, as well, on the way to the parking area.

Nothing important. Could I suggest a kettle, if only in the communal area, with basic tea/ coffee making facilities, which may be helpful in colder months.

Friendly welcome from hosts. Quiet, good view and convenient for the city centre (Centro storico), which can be accessed by a short walk to the lift or by climbing 154 steps to keep fit! Bathroom is very well appointed. A bar next door is open from early until late evening. If arriving by train into Central station, take the little FAL train to Citta station (roughly every hour) for €1.05. 4 minutes walk from apartment.Walking with luggage is impossible and the famous escalators are unreliable.

Clean, modern, easy to find. We stopped here for one night on our way to Salerno and it was great! If you stay in Potenza make sure to eat at Da Vincenzo Ristorante. Was amazing!!

Shared (between 3 rooms) bathroom was expected if a little weird, not sure why the renovations wouldn't make some en suite facilities. However it was clean amd well equipped.

This offers excellent value for money, see past the renovation works on the outside of the building and you'll realise that, for the money, safe off street parking and a clean fresh room are all you need.

A bit hard to find because of the construction works near the entrence. It's temporary, anyway. Don't be like me and use the instruction.

Very nice place. Bed, blanket, pillow — good quality. Comfortable table and chair. Wifi was perfect. Very helpful owner. But the best thing were the geese. Oh my god, I love them so much, that was an unexpected and ideal surprise. I could give you 10 only for them, but you deserve it anyway.

We really enjoyed a warm welcome and our short stay in Potenza. The apartment lets you experience how unusual the life on the steep hillside of the city is. We loved the view from the balcony. Perfect for a short stay.
