Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

CanadaOnly thing was the wifi in our room was not very strong and kept going in and out.
We loved our stay here! The owners were so friendly and welcoming and the property is absolutely beautiful, with a stunning view of Mt Etna. Breakfast was delicious with homemade jams and juices from the fruit trees on the property.

PolandWe fell in love with this place! From the moment you arrive, you can truly breathe – the air quality is perfect, and the location is magical, with a view of Mount Etna surrounded by a garden that’s more beautiful than any paid or city park we’ve seen in Sicily. Our room had a huge balcony with a view of Etna, it was spacious, had efficient air conditioning, and the bed was super comfortable. The hotel is large enough that you don’t hear other guests – it’s peaceful and quiet. Breakfasts were amazing – something for both sweet and savory lovers. There was plenty of local, organic food: different cheeses and cold cuts every day, a variety of hot dishes, fresh juices and lemonades, and delicious homemade jams from fruits grown in the garden. A paradise. The hosts are warm, welcoming, and always happy to help with advice or recommendations. Thank you once again for our favorite time of the holidays.

AustriaJust a suggestion, but a pool would be perfect in the garden :)
We picked the location due to its proximity to Taormina, Catania and Etna. The room was simple but comfortable! Giuseppe was so kind to message us before arrival with instructions for the gate as we were going to arrive later than the usual check in time and it worked very smoothly. He was also so kind to prepare breakfast for us earlier than their usual time as we had to leave early for our Etna tour.

HungaryWhen booking, I wasn't aware that the hotel also operates as an agriturismo. While we've had some less positive experiences with agriturismo stays in Italy in the past, this one turned out to be a very pleasant surprise—a great example of high-quality agritourism done right. Unfortunately, we stayed during the very beginning of the season, when there were only a few guests, and the hotel’s restaurant wasn’t yet open. As a result, we had to make our own dinner arrangements each evening. This proved a bit challenging, as the immediate surroundings don’t offer dining options, and we had to drive at least 15 minutes to Giardini Naxos for restaurants. Most of these were typical tourist-oriented places—decent, but nothing particularly memorable. The hotel’s location is peaceful and scenic, but it's important to note that you’ll need a car to reach any attractions, restaurants, or pedestrian-friendly areas. Nothing is within walking distance. I imagine that once the hotel restaurant is operating, the experience becomes much more relaxed—you could simply stay in for dinner without worrying about driving, parking (which was already difficult even in the off-season), or finding a suitable place to eat, especially with children.
This charming small hotel is nestled among citrus trees, offering a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The rooms are spacious and well-maintained, and everything was kept clean throughout our stay. Breakfast was a real highlight, with a generous and varied selection to choose from. The owners are warm, welcoming, and always helpful, adding to the pleasant experience. The beautifully maintained garden is a perfect place to unwind and enjoy the surrounding nature—with the majestic Mount Etna often visible from the garden, or even from your room if you're lucky. The location is excellent for exploring the region. Taormina, Giardini Naxos, Catania, and the Etna area are all within easy reach by car, typically 20–30 minutes away.

NetherlandsThe beds are fitted with a kind of plastic mattress cover which makes it warm and sweaty. Furthermore everything else was actually super fine.
The hosts are very attentive and helpful. The breakfast was always great and extensive. Many fresh and organic products are used. The location is well maintained and is very nicely situated on a lemon plantation quite centrally on the east coast which makes it a perfect base for day trips. From the roof terrace there was a fantastic view of the Etna volcano. Although a car is recommended, Fiumefreddo has a train station from where you can travel around the entire island. Visits to larger places such as Catania are nice to do by train. Because we were there in the winter and it was low season we were the only guests and it was very quiet.

United KingdomWould have liked a long mirror in the bedroom (for the ladies). A screen/mesh when leaving balcony door open overnight to prevent insect bites.
The room was really spacious and elegantly presented with furniture and decor of a very high standard, the bathroom was no exception. The level of attention shown to our family all throughout our week's stay was very much appreciated. Beautiful immediate gardens, they looked absolutely stunning every morning. The views from our room of both the coastline and Mount Etna were a lovely surprise. Breakfast and evening meals were meticulously prepared and both hosts could not do enough to ensure our stay was as enjoyable as possible.

RomaniaThe people living at the property seemed disturbed by the children from our group. Kids can be noisy indeed, but they didn't do any damage and I don't think they were very disturbing. One bed from our room was not the most comfortable.
Great garden, perfect for children (there is a playground as well) and for spending the evening enjoying a glass of wine. Good breakfast, friendly staff and always available to help. Easy to reach main attractions from the area, like Etna, Taormina and Catania.

BelgiumWe had an unpleasant smell from the second day on in the bathroom (sewage drain smell). From then on we left the bathroom door closed and the bathroom window open. And there is very little space to put your bathroom items. Reception was a bit cool. I felt like everything had to happen quickly. We didn't arrive until around 11pm, so we understand. But when we left also no extra words were spilled. Not a problem for us but it felt a bit distant.
What a wonderfull place this is. Located on the outskirts of Fiumfreddo. You drive through a typical Italian village and once you enter the gate of the hotel, you arrive in an oasis of peace. The hotel is surrounded by lemon trees and sufficient parking is provided. We had the room with Etna view and it was definitely worth the money. The terrace is very large but shared with an neighbouring room. A screen separates the private parts of the balcony. The room next to us was not occupied during our stay so this did not matter to us. The room was large, nice & clean. Air conditioning worked fine. The bathroom is small and functional and very clean. The breakfast is delicious. Just about something for everyone, egg, bacon, sausages, toast, bread, cornflakes, croissant, cake, savory and sweet fillings, fruit, ... Fresh coffee, tea, fresh fruit juice, water, milk, ...
