Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThe location at Florence Campo Marte was a bit further from Florence itself than anticipated. It was still walking distance though and a train connection to Florence main station was available which took less than 10 minutes.
The room and facilities provided was good. Nice large bathroom ensuite and outdoor sitting area.

Location approximately 3 km from the Centrum and if walking, you have to climb up big stairs to the bridge with your luggage to cross the railroad and then go down on the other side. But located next to Campo di Marte station, you get quickly and easily by local train to the Centrum. Email instructions were good (keys ect). The garden was nice.

HungaryThe host wasn’t responsive only answered when I tried to call them few times. Also as it turned out it was self check in and the host requested us to leave the tourists tax in a box and it could only be paid by cash. So we had to find an ATM.
The room was clean and nice. Location is good.

BrazilI didn't like the hotness of the house .. it is very very hot. We couldn't turn off the climatisation and the air machine was extremely noisy. Either we slept in a hellish room, either we sleep very lightly because of all the noise in room #4.Also the bathroom flooded all the time... It wasn't very clean.
I like the proximity to Florence Campo Di Marte. Then we took the train to go to the city center.

ItalyOne problem was that we chose this B&B because it was near the station but there was not any convinient Path to reach there just an overpass without elevator. Another thing is that if you want to pay by cash you should let them know when you check in because there is not a reception after 2 pm. Check out time is 10 AM,I think it was so early
It was clean and cozy. You can find all the facilities you want even anti mosquitoes, Hot water and tea. The girl that I forgot her name was nice and friendly and introduced me petiently some great locations for dinner.

AustraliaNot worth the price — disappointing experience overall. You’re better off booking accommodation closer to the city centre for a similar price and a much better experience. To begin with, there was false advertising. The listing stated that breakfast was available and even had “B&B” in the name, but on arrival, we were told breakfast wasn’t included. Had we known earlier, we would’ve booked elsewhere. They also advertised a 2 PM check-in time, but on the day, told us it was actually 3 PM. We had already arranged our train to arrive for a 2 PM check-in and ended up waiting around while the room was being cleaned (though the cleaner was very kind). Communication from the hosts was extremely poor. We only received an automated message with check-in instructions and were asked to pay the tourist tax in cash — no further interaction. We messaged days before our arrival to ask about taxi options and confirm breakfast/check-in time but never received a response. Our messages weren’t even read. The location is also inconvenient. Although it’s advertised as being near a train station, very few regional trains stop there — they mostly stop at Santa Maria Novella, so the location isn’t useful if you’re relying on public transport. Buses are infrequent too. On top of all that, the kettle in the room couldn’t be plugged into any of the available sockets, and the bathroom was below standard. We have stayed in many accommodation throughout our extended trip in Europe, but this is the worst by far. Don’t become a pawn in someone’s greedy investment scheme who does not care about you, you deserve a better experience elsewhere for your holiday.
The bed was ok. The cleaner was polite

SloveniaThe garden was cute, but it looked like nobody sweep the place in a month, there were leaves everywhere. I couldn’t sleep as is so nosy from the street, you can hear everything buses, motorbikes as it is a very busy street.. there were a lot of mosquitos in side the room, the AC was probably changed recently but it is put on with some holes to outside so the sun would shine through in the rom 😂.. it says in the info that breakfast is available bit there was no sign of breakfast when we left around 9:30…I think it is not worth the 100€ for the stay.
The bed was comfortable. Location was good, 9 min walk to the bus that takes you to center.

AustraliaIt’s called a B&B but no breakfast unless you pay extra . Bathroom very mouldy shower plus dirt on the base . Toilet seat moving and cracked. Fridge dirty and mouldy. Air con smelly when in use . Kettle full of white scum and plaques. Walls scuffed and dirty , floor not clean. Not in a good position - back of the railway with window opening onto warehouse with noisy workers coming and going . Poor communication with host except for initial contact did not reply to txts ie dis you receive the cash city tax which just had to be left in key box and reply to request for a receipt .
