Lack of facilities to charge phones and a general lack of in-room facilities which is a necessity these days and it really could do with some money spent on decor. Lastly, some staff have a tendency to air their issues in public with each other rather than in private. Maybe that’s an Italian thing.!

The location is stunning, when weather is good. Inside is very 1970’s with an Austin Powers type vibe. Quite a difference from today’s modernity. A warm homely feel was given by Mirella (I think that was lady’s name)

The staff were kind but clearly very tired after a long season and did not have any time to talk with. This is understandable given that they must work very hard and long hours.

It was in a fabulous location with spacious and comfortable rooms and plenty of hot water. The bed was comfortable and I had a good meal in the restaurant. It was simple, but it is a mountain hotel, so that was completely appropriate.

The hotel has been there for decades but this is part of the appeal, don't expect modern cutting edge facilities and design but it has all guests might need.

Mrs Mirella, the owner, was very friendly and helpful, she is also a qualified sommelier and food was really good. Overall, the hotel personnel was very nice with us and made us feel at home. Location is on the top of the Stelvio pass, so amazing views, hiking on surrounding mountains can start from the hotel doorstep, and the ski lifts to go up on the glacier (were we managed half a day skiing, in August!) are 5 minutes walk. A ski rental shop is just next to the hotel bar.

The hotel is very dated and facilities are basic. It has a captive market and the prices for a night reflect this. It is functional but not in anyway luxurious.

The hotel is at the top of the Stelvio Pass. It has a rustic bar area and the restaurant was open and the food was good. Breakfast was basic.

The staff were literally shouting at each other at night when I was trying to sleep which was very frustrating! They were arguing with each other and slamming doors for a good hour at least! Very unprofessional and not considerate of the hotel guests at all.

Hotel is in an amazing location at the top of the pass. Although quite outdated the room was clean and had everything I needed. They allowed me to put my motorcycle in the garage which was very appreciated.

The decor in the corridors and rooms was very poor - gym at the top of the stairs that looked like it was from the 80's - trip hazard as the corridor starts - fairly disorganised check in and out - breakfast was ok but was scattered all over the place

The combination of hotel, bar and restaurant is decent, clean, and has a good, helpful staff. Its location on the summit of the Stelvio pass allows for early start hikes in the high Alpine environment (before people from the valley come up).

There were some noisy ski school kids staying in the room opposite ours, but they seemed to tire out pretty quickly.

This place has character oozing from the walls. Don't expect flashy luxury but count on clean and basic functionality. What you'll most enjoy though, are the hysterical twins and their mother who run the place. The food in the restaurant was great and the bar is a hoot, mostly due to the wonderful ladies running the show. Beats TV, that's for sure.

Italian power sockets need an adapter but this was provided by the hotel. Kettle provided in the room, but better tea / coffee supplies would have been welcome.

Fantastic location at the top of the pass at over 9,000 feet and within 5mins walk of the bottom of the cable car. Very Italian, little English spoken. Food local and interesting - good value. Plenty of free parking available. interesting walking from the hotel. saw a golden eagle during the visit. Skiing fraternity added a bit of buzz.

It was noisy with a lot of bikers since the hotel is facing main road and this is popular biker’s route. But it became quiet at night.

I think I had a lot more than what I paid for. Hotel dinner had excellent quality for very reasonable price.
