How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewGreat value hotel in the Miramare beachside area. Closer to the metro station. Spotlessly clean. Friendly, helpful staff.
The breakfast was just ok - the coffee machine seemed to only pour a tiny amount each time, and the eggs and sausages were overcooked and tasteless. Their seemed to be pigeons nesting in the recess directly above my bed as I could clearly hear them cooing and flapping against the drywall.

Verified reviewI spent a few days at this hotel and was very pleased with my stay. The staff were polite, smiling, and helpful from check-in to departure. It's a very family-run hotel. You feel like you're in an Italian home. The room was clean, well-appointed, and serviced daily. I really appreciated the comfortable bed and the quiet – perfect conditions for rest and relaxation. The breakfasts were varied and delicious – both sweet and savory, as well as hot options. I've stayed in many hotels, but the breakfasts at this one are impressive. The location was a big plus – close to the airport and the beach. I recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and pleasant place to relax. I will definitely return.

Verified reviewThe breakfast was surprisingly good. They previously said that they did not have anything vegan, only for lunch or dinner. But the breakfast was a classic continental one, had many fruit, alternative-plant-based milk, cereal etc. It was such a pleasant surprise, and makes the price-value range better. Other than that, the staff was also friendly, and the common toilets, the restaurant and the lobby very clean and nice. What I had a bit of a problem with was the room itself - I could not use the WiFi even with the right password, it was super warm even though the blinds were down the whole day, and the AC could not be switched on. But more on that at the "bad parts". Overall, a day later at another hotel for the same price I got a way better room, working AC and WiFi, in the room bathroom and toilet, and an even better breakfast. It really put the price in perspective. Don't get me wrong, I was not expecting luxury for the price, but basic decent stuff I did.
To circle back a bit: the staff did not really speak English when I was there. It made it hard for me to try and solve stuff, also I was super tired when I arrived because there had been a strike and I was travelling for 24 hours straight by train. So after the WiFi did not work, the AC did not work, and the room resembled more like a prison than a hotel, I just slept and woke up the next morning, had breakfast (again, surprisingly decent) and left. This is just to give a hint on what and how I could experience stuff. I can imagine that they offer better rooms for more people etc. But for me, it wasn't overall a pleasant experience. The English-speaking part bothered me, because at that part of town that is 100% full of hotels and depends solely on (international) tourists, I would have expected the staff to speak more. Later at other hotels, restaurants etc. I had only good experiences.

Verified reviewThe host at the reception was a funny young man, everything was smooth and easy. As we did not speak Italian(besides few words like ciao and com e stai) that funny (guess Albanian) guy took cell phone and we spoke thorugh google translator - np. Parking was not at the hotel but the process of parking like 500m away was OK. Just don't forget to drop your stuff at the hotel before parking ;) This info we knew before. For the 2 star hotel I was expecting small very economy breakfast but the oposite was truth. Breakfast was great, sweet stuff as well as eggs, salami, cheese, whatever you like. Sure caffee too ;)
There is a shower without space for shower :o When you take the shower you close the curtain which separate toilet and bidet out of the ther part of bathroom. When water starts flowing water goes also on toilet :D I've never seen that before but it is funny. Also the drain was little bit clogged. For us one night only stayers it was OK, adventure anf fun.

Verified reviewDear travelers. I spent a wonderful week of relaxation in this 2* hotel and a great variety of breakfasts. Besides, everything is close and the hotel deserves a much higher award. I've traveled a lot, but I've never seen such a friendly atmosphere. Thank you very much to the young owners. I would like to come back here. .
