Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BulgariaDavid and Matteo are unique people. We arrived a little earlier than the check-in time, but they still accommodated us and let us use the room directly. I had an accident with my car - I hit the rim and tire on the curb in front of the hotel - Matteo gave me full assistance with tire service and someone to look for! Fortunately, the tire and rim were fine and the tire did not need to be repaired or changed! David is a great host and a very nice person. They recommended restaurants, attractions (outside the usual tourist ones). I will definitely come back to them again! You guys are great! I hope there are more hosts like them!

SpainWe personally enjoyed it a lot. The accommodation was very good, and the bed was comfortable. The B&B is in a quiet location, less than 2 km from the center of Florence, so walking there was perfectly fine for us. It’s also surrounded by all the facilities you might need — in our case, some nice, non-touristy restaurants and cafés. But what really made the difference was Matteo, the owner. He’s an absolutely fantastic person who gave us all the tips to truly enjoy Florence. You can see he has a real passion for what he does and a lot of patience. Definitely recommended!

SwedenWe had a great stay at this lovely and tidy room, located within walking distance from the historical center of Florence. The added bonus of on-site parking was really convenient, but what truly made this place stand out was the staff. From the moment we arrived, Matteo took the time to give us a detailed tour (complete with a map!) of what to see and what to avoid in Florence — including honest advice about tourist traps, local restaurants, museums, and hidden gems. His recommendations saved us time and made our visit much more enjoyable. He was also available via WhatsApp throughout our stay, always quick to respond and happy to help. He even assisted us in booking restaurant reservations for the evenings, which was a huge help in a busy city like Florence. We really appreciated the personal attention and care. The whole visit felt like we had a local friend guiding us. Highly recommend staying here if you're planning a visit to Florence.

There is a bus stop about 2 minutes from the property which takes you directly to Firenze S.M.N station!

GermanyBreakfast a bit simple, I guess we expected a bit more because of the name „gourmet“ (simplest breakfast from our 6 different accommodations), but still tasty. Our room was right under the office and breakfast room, so you are awake by 7:30 because of the steps from above
Great quiet location, but still in walking distance to downtown. Friendly host and very good communication. Parking right in the property for 12€ a day. Comfy beds.

United StatesMatteo the host was super welcoming with very precious introduction information about the city. With super precious details that only locals would have and not written in guidebooks. And the best is that it is tailored according to the needs and interests of the guests. We had to leave early missing the nice breakfast on our last day and they left some little things and fruits for us in the fridge to have in our rooms before continuing our trip. Noticing the that the lamp was off and next day was fixed so very attentive to the guests needs. Unfortunately we could not e joy the little space outside as it was still cold but just having possibility to go out in the garden and let the fresh air come inside the room was comforting. Definitely a good spot who wants a quiet residential area but very convenient to go to city center on foot and with good access by bus for those who prefer or cannot walk.

United StatesMatteo was an exceptional host, going above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and enjoyed all the best things in Florence. We arrived late and he gave very specific instructions so we were able to reach the parking and room safely. Our room was very clean, had coffee and tea options in room as well as a mini fridge, great fresh croissants and options at the breakfast room. He even helped us freeze our water bottles overnight for use in our cooler the next day. The location is a short walk to the historic district with the benefit of staying outside of the touristic area. Highly appreciated the comfortable stay!

We had a very nice stay at Villa Landucci. The host Matteo is very friendly and helpful and speaks English very well. The villa itself is an older building with a lot of style, high ceilings, a green backyard, and, what's also important, an own parking lot. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely come again the next time in Firenze.
