We expected the pool to be open and we weren’t aware it was closed for the season, I believe due to renovations, not sure. The pool was a selling point for the hotel, so we weren’t aware disappointed.

The location was walking distance from the cruise ship. Breakfast was very good, the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Beautiful hotel!

When I told the staff this was a very special occasion for the trip, they pulled out all the stops to make my stay amazing. They were accommodating and professional. The location is spectacular and the breakfast was delicious. Best espresso I had in Italy! And the cakes were delicious!

Must close the restaurant “Harrys”. Menu,food preparation and service was awful. Living off the name.

We caught an early train. A box meal was prepared that was very good. The desk personnel were absolutely first class, friendly and knowledgeable.

We had trouble with our travel plans but Front House Manager, Giuseppe Di Trolio, went out of his way to provide assistance. He helped us find transportation from southern Croatia to the airport. His service was exceptional.

We had a problem upon arrival.Our key card for the room was not working.We waited for a long time. But the problem was successfully solved.What personally disappointed me was that there was no balcony.The hotel does not have a room with a balcony at all, and that was my only filter by which I chose which hotel to book.My reservation says a room with a balcony, but unfortunately there is no balcony.The hotel is nice and clean, but my personal filters are very important to me.I always choose a hotel according to my preferences.This hotel would not have been on my list if I had known that the balcony did not exist.Maybe it is not such a big problem for someone else, but it is very important to me. Since it was only one night, we did not want to cancel the reservation.

We were only there for one night so I can't say much.The location is great.The room and everything in the hotel is very clean, elegant and tidy.The bed is big and comfortable.The bathroom is very clean. Parking is not part of the hotel,but there are 2 options for them to tow and bring your car, which of course is an additional charge but is very practical. Or you can tow your car yourself to the parking lot which is a 5 minute walk away.The breakfast was fresh and tasty but with a limited selection.The staff is friendly.

Would have been nice if the pool was open (renovation) and would have liked Harry’s to be open for light evening meals. The fine dining restaurant was open but not what we wanted after a 6 hour drive to Italy.

They say parking on the site. What they don’t say is that it costs you 30 euros per night and they park your car for you. We arranged that it would be ready at the entrance at 7am and it wasn’t .We had to be at Pula airport which we had explained. The staff were very friendly but I dealt with 3 different staff members just to book in, we were the only clients at the time and I think that’s where the problem Also surprised that there was no tea in our room, just a expresso machine with no milk sachets and no bottled water

We were disappointed that the pool was being renovated as that was one of the reasons for our return.

This was our second stay at Grand Hotel Duchi d'Aosta. This year the Education summit was being held so the city was in a little turmoil with the square being blocked off a fair amount of time. We love sitting out in the square at Harry's Bar and this year the standout performance was being served by a lovely young gentleman (Lorenzo?). The breakfast is very good.
