    Breakfast was great, location was great- right next to the ferry. Grounds were very nice. Scenic views of the mountains

    The town port closed at 8 pm and there are no taxis that were able to take us from another town to Menaggio. Room size was small

    People were great, breakfast great, location great, views great , pool great dining and bar great.

    Room wasn’t great, bath was very small with little storage, air didn’t work well, not much storage for clothes(lived out of our suitcases) and just generally not impressive for the price.

    Location was excellent, right by the lake with pool, having breakfast out by the lake and with the ferry terminal within less than 5 min walk. I would definitely recommend spending extra to have a lake view room. Town side rooms overlook the main road.

    The hotel is an old building and some of the facilities could do with refurbishment. For example the shower screen in our bathroom leaked, leaving a pool of water every time we had a shower. The main evening menu in the hotel restaurant could do with a revamp. It is almost all red meat, which we don't eat. More variety would be better.

    Everything was excellent! The location is stunning, and the room was impeccably clean. The housekeeping ladies were very kind, especially Mrs. Dorina – a true professional and a wonderful person. I wholeheartedly recommend this place! If you get the chance to visit, don’t miss a boat ride with Mr. Roberto – an amazing person who gave us interesting explanations and treated us exceptionally well.

    I was disappointed to find that the lunch menu offered significantly fewer options compared to the dinner menu. For someone staying a longer period – and especially in my case, where a health condition makes lunch the main meal of the day – the lack of variety became a real issue. Over the course of 7 days, I had to eat the same dish on 4 separate occasions simply because there were no other suitable options. The most unpleasant part of my experience, however, was the interaction with the head waiter during lunch service. I truly believe that his presence is entirely out of place in an establishment otherwise filled with kind, professional, and dedicated staff. The way he treated me – a guest who came to relax and be treated with respect – felt, in my opinion, inhumane. Although I had ordered the same dish two days in a row due to dietary restrictions, when I asked if it could be replaced with another type of fish, I was immediately told "no" – without him even consulting the chef. The second time I tried to change the dish because I had eaten it so many times already, he told me it was a different fish on the plate – which simply wasn’t true. I was lied to, straight to my face. I felt humiliated and discriminated against, as if it were somehow my fault that I had a medical condition. His attitude completely shattered my sense of comfort and trust. Had I stayed any longer, I would have preferred to eat elsewhere – or not eat at all – rather than endure that kind of treatment again. This experience affected me deeply and, honestly, should have no place in a setting that prides itself on hospitality. If I could rate this part of my stay separately, it would be one star without hesitation. That being said, I want to emphasize that the rest of the restaurant staff were extremely professional, and the food itself was delicious.

    The location is amazing, the foid was 5 star and staff were brilliant

    It cost 600 Euros to get there and back by cab with no practical alternative when you have bags which is crazy - needs a shuttle bus fot such a class hotel - the rooms really need to be refurbished and looked a bit tired which was disappointing for a hotel at 700 Eiros a nighy

    The pool area is great and the front lake location. But the hotel is old. You can not change that and it kinda adds to the charm. But you can not beat the value and the convenience of the location. No air conditioning in the rooms and breakfast could be better. Whole hotel and rooms need an urgent upgrade. It feels like you walk back into 50s

    The location of the room was excellent and the view was absolutely beautiful. Three of the four nights we were there, we enjoyed entertainment (piano, sax, and harp) which all added to our stay. The pool is fantastic.

    The beds we very hard. Understanding that the building is of an older vintage, the overall room size was certainly adequate, however the bathroom is very small and cramped. We found it difficult to comfortably move within the bathroom - even as a single person let alone two at the same time. I don't know what is behind the walls, but there appears to be space between where the closet ends and the wall of the bathroom - at least 2 feet. If that could be added to the bathroom it would make a world of difference. It would have been helpful if at check-in we were told the shutters could be closed. Its very bright when the sun comes up, we only discovered that half-way thru our stay.
