How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewEverything about the room was great.
Had a room without a balcony but the hotel was full so could not swap. The breakfast was the same everyday.

Verified reviewOur stay was amazing. The location was so beautiful. The room and facilities were exceptional and clean. The staff were so attentive and welcoming, which made the stay extra lovely. The room had everything you needed and more, and the breakfast was incredible with traditional Italian foods. A beautiful, quiet, and scenic location with access to the best parts of the Amalfi Coast without being in the hustle and bustle of Amalfi centre itself. We would love to return.

Verified reviewThey threatened us with economical sanctions just before knowing the check-in time, which we had specified on the booking app
Very kind Adrian , if you can call her kind. We are speechless about this negative review. If a courtesy message that is automatically sent to all guests via Booking.com before check-in every day is a financial threat to you, then this is the end of our hospitality. Out of thousands of reservations we receive, no one has ever accused us of an automatic courtesy message sent by the app. This is the message: Please confirm the approximate check-in time, thank you. Please check-in in the time slot you find in the reservation. We inform you that for early arrivals the penalty cost is €40.00. For late arrivals the penalty cost is €40.00. After midnight, check-in will not be allowed and will be considered a no-show. Thank you for your cooperation. We are speechless. The hotel management

Verified reviewA hotel located in the mountains, with a beautiful view of the sea, between Amalfi and Positano where after a day full of walks, after the beach, after shopping, you return in peace, with good music and tasty food cooked at the restaurant. A pleasant, quiet hotel, with a clean swimming pool, with garden and very, very cool staff 🥰

Verified reviewWhere to start! The most wonderful 7 days in an absolute paradise of a family run hotel. The owner Pino greeted us late when we arrived, along with one of his staff members. I am really terrible with names, but every one we encountered at the hotel were the most warm, wonderful and friendly people you could hope to meet, including the cats!! We stayed in room a'nasella which had a parking space just a few steps away, there is a larger car park near reception, but this is a walk down a hill/road, or down 76 steps! The room had a wonderful balcony with 2 chairs, a table and a wonderful view of the valley to the left, and then in front the sea. The room was perfectly appointed with a wardrobe, comfortable bed, two bedside tables with lamps, dressing table with a safe on top(free!) topped off with a smart TV. Wifi was free and plenty fast enough. The bathroom was the same, sink, toilet, bidet and an enclosed corner shower that was lovely after a hard days walking. Decoration of both rooms was in keeping with the rustic and Italian charm of these types of property, the room was cleaned daily and cleaned well. Breakfast was typical Mediterranean fare, cold meats, tomatoes, eggs, cold omelets, toasted bread, and local cornflakes. Also a great selection of warm pastries and the most wonderful chocolate cake and vanilla cake. Orange or apple juice, water, topped off with what ever type of coffee you wanted, freshly ground and brewed as the Italians know how to do. We didnt eat lunch at the hotel, and only ate once in the evening, which was delicious and reasonable. The hotel offers a shuttle minibus every couple of hours down into Amalfi so that you can catch a ferry to one of the other wonderful coastal towns... it is 3euro one way, which although more expensive than a local bus is far more civilized! I could write more but Booking.com doesnt allow! Book this hotel, it will not disappoint!!!
It was all amazing!

Verified reviewIt is accessible to the towns in amalfi coast. There is a shuttle that can take you to the amalfi town. There is an available parking and they have a very good restaurant. An advantage for people who is tired from the day trips. My partner really loved the Sun bed area with a shower to chill. The room was spacious and we had our nice balcony for the sea view. We were happy that the room had a fridge and a kettle for tea.
The room is not noise proof, we had the room below separate to the property which we really liked because we had a balcony and the room was spacious, but at night when other guests return from their trip you hear everything. The footstep, the doorknob and the conversations, basically everything we hear. I think the door needs changing. The fire or smoke alarm by the door area has also an annoying blinking light which we had to cover with our cap every night cause it was disturbing 😅 There is a kettle in the room, but the tea cups where missing. Maybe add that to the room. For people like us that stayed more than 3days, it would be nice if the breakfast changes.

Verified reviewEverything. we went with my mum. The location is a taken from a dream. There are different levels, whereas you find either rooms, restaurant, terrace, breakfast area, parking, etc. We stayed in two rooms actually (we decided to stay more cause we loved the place), and both had beautiful and dreamful views to the sea.
Difficult to find sommething. Maybe in our second room, due to it was an annexion of another house, it was necessary to cross the road to go to the ammenities. But just to find something. Everything was great.
