I’ ve rest this august in Mondello , and it was great! Good location of the house in the calm, not noisy place with green yard and very friendly owner. It’ s the most pleasant owner which I ‘ ve ever seen . You feel yourself like at your own house or the house of bad friends. They organised my leisure😎💕, invite to travel on their boat to amazing islands of riviera of Palermo . drive me to Palermo and mountain for eating there local pizza They do their best and I am so grateful for all they did for me So I highly recommend this apartment to everyone who wants to have a unforgettable vocation

The only thing was that the internet was a bit spotty upstairs but otherwise everything was great!

Hosts were very kind and welcoming. They even showed us around town, ran into other guests and they said hello. We didn't spend much time there as we were there to be at the beach, but we have what we needed while there. Bathrooms were clean, our room had a nice balcony, and we had access to a kitchen and outdoor patio. It really is fairly close to the beach too. Grazie Mille! ❤️❤️

The accommodation is nice, clean, not far from the sea about 10-minute walk. Sylvia and Bennie are wonderful people. They will help with everything. I will definitely go back there. Had very nice trip in Mondello.

I loved the Homie feeling I got as soon as I arrived it was fresh and clean! the house is situated in the middle of everything and pretty much everywhere, the beach is about a 5 minute scooter driver and around 10-15 minutes walk depending on your speed! Silvia s a phenomenal host she drove me to local shops and carried my bags as I am pregnant, gave me breakfast to go on my last night even shared fresh produce from her garden with me and made sure I was looked after! she checked in on me every single day and was available anytime I needed her ! organised my trip to the airport! I couldn’t of had a better trip just before I have my baby ! I can’t wait to return next year with my daughter ! thank you Silvia

I understand that it's a minor issue, hoverer would be great to have Wi-Fi, even if it a 4g modem with limited internet. Just to get info about the routes and so on.

Owners are great people, who gave us a lot of advice and tips. They also helped with some questions.

The place was located in a semi-basement, where it smelled of dampness and mold, it was very hot, and insects were constantly running around.

We hadn’t realised it was a house share when we booked. The property is adjacent to the hosts property with a basement room, a shared living & kitchen space, 3 bedrooms upstairs and two bathrooms. We had one of the bedrooms upstairs and a private bathroom. You are very aware there are other people in the house so need to be respectful with noise & light. Difficult if you’re arriving late as you can’t unpack or make much sound. It should probably be rented as a house rather than renting each individual room. The bed was quite uncomfortable. The shower was very small, difficult to wash hair and you need to be slim to get in there. The keys are welded together so you can’t keep the air con at a consistent temperature, so the room gets hot and then you need to blast it as soon as you get in. Mondello generally is not very well connected so difficult to get around without a car. Taxi’s/ Ubers are extortionate for the length of any journey. The suggested price on Uber is far lower than the final bill. Definitely avoid Mondello beach on a Saturday or Sunday, overcrowded, overpriced (€40 for two sunbeds) and absolute chaos. On the Monday it was still overpriced but much more peaceful and calm.

Good flat walking distance to the beach (10-15mins). The air con worked well when it was on. Sylvia left us some water which was really helpful. Reasonably clean. Nice balcony view. Overall it is completely fine for a night or two if you’re visiting Mondello. The place covers all your basic needs.

Avoid this property. We booked the “one-bedroom house” (which is not actually a house as it is attached to the other guests’ rooms via a staircase with only a simple latch on the door). Although Sylvia is a very kind host, unfortunately we had to leave after one night due to multiple issues. Firstly, please note there is a SOFA BED in the room, and it is unfortunately about as comfortable as sleeping on the floor, with pieces of metal digging into your back during the night. Alongside this, there is no air conditioning in this tiny property, only a small, loud, rotating fan. This might be okay in winter, but during the summer 30C heat this was completely inadequate. Combined, this made for a truly terrible night of sleep. The “house” is advertised as having a balcony - our room was literally below ground level, which obviously makes a balcony impossible. There was a small patio with table and chairs, but this certainly could not be called a balcony. The shower is extremely small with a very weak flow, which was probably a good thing given it was so small only a medium sized teenager could fit comfortably in it. As described there is a “kitchen” which comprises a small stove, a few pots and some plates and cutlery. However, the breaking point during our stay was when we began inadvertently cooking with utensils completely covered in mould. These could have easily contaminated our meal. Overall, the dingy feel of the below ground apartment with no curtains, plastic pull down shutters, mouldy kitchen utensils, no air conditioning, terrible shower, sofa bed, bright fluorescent ceiling lighting, and extremely uncomfortable mattress was comparable to a night in a low security prison cell. Definitely not an experience we would advise anyone to repeat.

Our time in Palermo was truly made special thanks to Silvia’s outstanding hospitality. From the moment we arrived, she went out of her way to make us feel welcome. She greeted us with a delightful welcome kit full of sweets, as well as a thoughtful bag containing essentials like shampoo, moisturizer, and sunscreen. These small but meaningful touches reflected her incredible attention to detail and genuine care. Silvia was consistently kind and incredibly helpful throughout our stay. She arranged reliable and affordable transport to the airport through trusted local contacts, even in the early hours, saving us significant costs compared to traditional services like Uber. Her local knowledge was another highlight. Silvia shared an incredible array of recommendations, from authentic restaurants to hidden gems only locals would know about, which made exploring Palermo a much richer experience. To make our beach days even easier, she provided towels upon request and offered a beach umbrella at no extra cost. Always available and eager to help, Silvia made us feel supported every step of the way. We left Palermo with wonderful memories, not only of the city itself but also of the warmth and generosity we received from Silvia. We wholeheartedly recommend her place to anyone seeking a truly personalized and welcoming experience. Grazie mille, Silvia.
