Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

FranceWe did not know how the house keeping system works, we stayed 7 days, the only time we came back to a tidy bed and room was 1 time when we saw the lady in the house. The rest of the days we were leaving super early, so I'm guessing she would come knocking at 9 and since no one opens she just leaves. Maybe there should be a system to let her know she can enter. Also we only had 1 toilet paper roll for the whole stay the last day we ran out. And something not directed to the owner since it is not their fault but the building, we were coming back one night and there was a big cockroach near the trash bins inside the building. I had a panic attack since I have a phobia.
The location was perfect, very calm and nice area away from all the city chaos but also so close. Since the metro is a few minutes away. There are many supermarkets, facilities, restaurants, stores... The room was big and convenient for a week stay. The bathroom was also big, even though it was not in the room but across. There was no issue since it was private, and you could lock it with your room keys. There were 2 other rooms but no noises came from them. The owner is very reactive. He would answer us in less than 5 minutes when we messaged him through the app. Also very secure building.

GermanyNot much to complaine. It would be nice if the bathroom would be connected to the room directly but it is also not a big deal because you know it before you book if you reed the information proper.
Nice room and friendly welcome. The location is really great. Some great restaurants are easy to reach by foot. Good connection because the Metro is just around the conor.

NetherlandsThe location is in the city center and three-minute walk from the metro station. The room and the bathroom are super clean. The bathroom we booked is separated from the room. Maybe it is a good idea to check with the host if you mind this.
