You have to go there. An unbelievable outlook, so peaceful, the owners are wonderful. You won't regret it.

The winery Torciano at the end of the road is disappointing but there are dozens more!

The rooms were a little dated but charming. Glad we had our own car to get around.

We loved the farm environment and surrounding scenery. There was a lovely pool, which was welcome on hot days. Everything worked for us, and we enjoyed a relaxing time.

Nothing. It was a lovely place to stay. About 12kms from San Gimignano, but this did not worry us.

The 1st floor 2 room apartment was very spacious and homey. It was great to have 2 bathrooms and the bedrooms on opposite sides of the living room. Very private and clean and very safe. The owners were so kind and welcoming. Treated us like family! Many good suggestions of places to eat and things to see. Their dog Nina was so behaved and loving and it was great having her on the property to greet you when you returned daily from your outings. We appreciated the welcome bottle of wine. The views were magnificent and made more special by the view of San Gimignano in the near distant hill. About 15 min drive from the Villa. Great location to sightsee the Tuscan hill side towns as well at Chianti. Their was a COOP FI market within 10/15 min drive of the villa where we stocked up on groceries. Nice to have a dedicated outdoor table and umbrella which we took advantage of for dinner and lunch. The pool was a nice addition on the hot summer days for a cool dip. It's not heated so it was refreshing. Overall it was a wonderful stay and we would love to go back again. You definitely need a car to get to the location and to see the surrounding countryside. The owners were the kindest and very helpful couple and altho it may have been a little hard to communicate as we don't speak Italian they made a huge effort and we appreciated it. If we needed anything they responded immediately. Can't wait to go back! So peaceful and stunning! Lush and green!

Everything was wonderful but if i had to add something....maybe it would have been nice to have at least some bottles of water, coffee/tea and other basic food supplies. We did have sugar, olive oil, balsamic, salt/ pepper. plus a few pods for a coffee machine. They also did provide filters for an American style coffee maker but we had to buy our own coffee. Also maybe a little update on the pots and pans.

Serene feel. Lovely countryside. Beautiful views. Rustic charm. Welcoming hosts. Sizable apartment. Knock-out swimming pool.

Second bedroom not quite up to scratch. Needs more light and ventilation.

Il Coltro was a beautiful villa with the most picturesque views. The owners were so incredibly helpful, particularly when we had car trouble. The family dog Nina, just made the stay even more homely! Such a relaxing and wonderful stay!

There is nothing to dislike about this property. Driving around the area can be challenging (particularly when wet) and you definitely need a car. Make sure you stick to the main road in and don’t always follow google maps!
