How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewBy far the most friendly hosts I have ever met. They gave lovey advise for activities in the region & when we arrived on a stormy evening they shared their home-made pizza with us (which was exceptionally tasteful). The rooms are spacious, and the garden is perfect to have breakfast or drinks with a breathtaking view. The accommodation is located near some beautiful, small villages with local beaches & restaurants. There’s also a station nearby, from where you can take a 20 min train to the Cinque Terre villages. Hope to be able to visit again!

Verified reviewThe hosts were lovely, we were very well received, with guidance and hospitality. The place has everyone one might need, which was very helpful. It was clean, silent and provided all we needed for our breef stay. The outside dinners were priceless, thank you!
The insulation between the houses is not great, but besides that everything was lovely, would love to come back some time.

Verified reviewThe villa is very cozy, with a beautifully maintained green area. It is located in a lush, green setting, surrounded by forest. If you are looking for a place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and avoid tourist crowds, this is the perfect spot. The villa has everything you might need, actually, even more than we expected. I want to highlight how incredibly clean it was! This impeccable cleanliness, along with the warm welcome from Giulia and Liliya, the owners, made us feel truly at home. They told us about the area and the surroundings and made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Giulia is incredibly knowledgeable, you can ask her anything about the region or Italy in general. She can recommend unique places worth visiting or share helpful tips. Even while staying at the villa, we felt completely at home. Everything was so comfortable, there was nothing to complain about at all. We would love to come back again!
Nothing! The villa is quite a distance from the beach, so a car is definitely necessary to get around comfortably.

Verified reviewLovely hostess and size of the room was very good. There was also food for your first breakfast in the fridge. Lovely, peaceful surroundings.
The location is a bit removed from things and the steep, narrow road to the house is not ideal. You really feel that there should be a pool there.

Verified reviewThe accomodation was really clean and fresh throughout with lots of extra touches which made it very homely: some kitchen basics had been provided and there was milk, bread, butter, jam(home made I think), biscuits and some gorgeous home grown tomatoes too! Giulia was very friendly and helpful on check in and gave us lots of tips about the local area and how to get around. Driving in the Cinque Terre can be difficult so it was good to know about the local transport options. There was lots of outside areas to the property to enjoy the sun and eat - although we were out til late each night so did not get to explore the outside garden area much but it looked lovely and other guests seemed to be enjoying using it. The bathroom was really lovely and we loved the olive oil based shower gel provided! All through the property was beautiful art work and quirky antique style furniture which really add character to this place. The location of the property is very high up and it is so peaceful . Our room was on the top floor and the air conditioning was very welcome after the very hot days we had there.
The drive up to the property was a bit hairy with our larger car - one bend difficult to negotiate and reversing scary on the extremely steep slopes- but we got used to it over the days! Only 3 mugs available to use - could do with few more. Kitchen space restricted and had to cover sink with board to be able to use plugs for some appliances - but this is part of the character of the apartment and you do adapt. Would have preferred double bed rather than 2 single beds pushed together.

Verified reviewI would like to give 1 star for our stay, as we, sadly, had to leave this place already and I'm too jealous of Your upcoming time here. But I have to admire that Lilia and her daughter deserve not 10, not 11 but all the stars of Booking universe as this place is as close (and beyond) as being at home feels like... Grazie mille!

Verified reviewThe hospitality of the hosts exceeded our expecations in all ways, they were very friendly and helpful, provided information about what to visit, welcomed us with some food, vegetables from their garden. The location was great, the view from the balcony was amazing, we could see the see through the mountains.
The road to the property was quite steap, a bit challanging, you can be mobile only if you have a car. But the beauty and quiet environment compensate all that.

Verified reviewBeautiful location on the hill top, very good room size with tastefully decorated house and beautiful / big bathrooms. Plenty of greenery around the property and quite peaceful location.
Nothing to do with property. But inspite of having beautiful garden, you can not sit outside for a long time due to lot of mosquitos. I stayed in the property during hottest summer days and wish there could be A/C in my second family room.

Verified reviewLilia and her daughter are very nice! Lilia made delicious gnocchi with home made pesto and cake for us. The home made jam, bread and Focaccia were very good as well! The garden with the beautiful view is amazing. We loved to have breakfast in the garden and to play table football. The hosts manage everything in a very sustainable way and they care about the environment! The apartments are very cozy and clean! There are nice small villages in the mountains, and it’s not so far from the ocean. We will definitely come back!
