How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewMy second stay at Il Minatauro, wouldn't think of staying anywhere else in the vicinity. The owner Barbara is a wonderful host and has a bar/restaraunt just around the corner.
Nothing. I love Il Minatauro.

Verified reviewI slept in the single room located on the top floor of the B&B. It was a cozy room, very well cleaned and with a small balcony. The breakfast was very good, plenty of home-made cakes, I could not ask for more.

Verified reviewStaying at Il Minotauro B&B was one of the best experiences we have ever had. The facilities were clean, comfortable, and quiet. The food and service was stellar! It would be difficult to find a better, more accommodating host. We had a very pleasant and memorable experience. We hope to stay there again soon.
If there was a negative, it would have to be that the B&B is a little difficult to find. Barbara gives guests the GPS coordinates and that is definitely helpful. Additionally, if you are not accustomed to parking in Italian villages, it may be a challenge to find a parking spot you are comfortable with.

Verified reviewVery friendly staff amazing breakfast - really amazing breakfast!! Vittorito is a nice little town close to everything, including the motorway and Popoli, Sulmona and Pacentro. Accommodation was very comfortable and they let me stay late for a meeting .
I love the property, but you got a hunt around a little bit to find it. Google maps will get you close and then search around in the alleyways, but that’s kind of the charm.

Verified reviewThe single room I booked is small but very functional and complete, and the view from the private terrace is stunning! I enjoyed my stay very much! Mille grazie, Barbara!
If you have mobility issues or are a very large person, the spiral stair to the single room may be a problem. The other rooms are all on the first floor, so this is not a problem. I am a 6' , 210 lb male and had no trouble getting in and out.

Verified reviewBarbara is the most wonderful host... Not just of the B&B, but as ambassador for Vittorito and Abruzzo. Her restaurant just around the corner serves fabulous food and is also the gathering place for everyone in town. In two short days, I've met many locals through Barbara, all of whom are welcoming and kind. My visit was so exceptional that I've decided that I would like to become a semi-permanent part of the community. Vittorito is the quintessential small village, located perfectly as a base to visit Popoli, Solmuna, Pacentro, and many more villages in the surrounding mountains. It's the perfect place for car or bike touring.

Verified reviewBarbara the owner of the B&B was a great host. She provided an exceptional homemade breakfast every morning. She helped me to get genealogy records from the town offices by calling the clerk. She connected with distant cousins. Barbara advised me what to see in lovely Abruzzo. She told me about the history of Vittorito which enhanced my experience of visiting the town of my grandparents. The bed was very comfortable. The room is a good size and very clean. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Barbara is a great host. I had many of my meals in her restaurant and enjoyed great pizza, pasta and salads. I will definitely stay at Il Minotauro on my next visit to Vittorito!
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you ! For your words and the review! Now you know where your roots are and Vittorito waits for you and your whole family!!

Verified reviewGreat breakfast assortment, very tasty. The owner Barbara went out of her way to help me to get to the market and to the flix bus stop, both not in Vittorito. She is very friendly and knows a lot about the area. It is a nice B&B in the older part of the village, my balcony view was beautiful, overlooking the roofs of the village and a full view of the castle. I recommend staying here a lot.
Nothing
