Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwitzerlandIt was an authentic italian villa, you could smell some history. We had a great time with a great view, cold water in the fridge for everyone! The owner was very helpful

United StatesAddress led us wrong twice. We received an email afterwards to put parking lot in GPS. This made us late and then no luggage trolly. A call or WhatsApp text would have been appreciated. The breakfast was ok. Enzo was okay but not overly friendly.
The views were stunning and the bedroom was very comfortable.

ItalyThe old building remains prior to reaching villa should be taken care of - it ruins the view, visual experience and looks dangerous. Some stairs must also be repaired as the condition is really bad. The owners should take care of the environment as it ruins the experience.
The location is amazing and the views from the vila are breathtaking. Villa itself is very cosy and clean, the host is very lovely. The house is up in the hills only accessible by ~15-20 min climb through the steep stairs in the forest. Don't follow the directions to the villa on Google maps as they will lead you to the wrong direction - follow the location advise in the message from the host.

PolandEven though they warn you about the location of the B&B i would say it doesn’t take 15 minutes to climb it (unless you’re extraordinarily fit), for us it took around 50 minutes with luggage and half an hour without, so if it’s possible i would definitely advise to ask for the help with getting your suitcases up
The place was really clean, the view is amazing and Enzo the host is really friendly, he tries to make your stay as good as possible

United KingdomThere are not many shops around so make sure you get your groceries before - although Enzo will ensure you have water or anything to drink and a great breakfast.
Great host - Enzo. He will make sure that you have everything you need. The location is absolutely stunning with a great view of the sea. Free Parking - parking next to the B&B is above 50 euros per day so it's almost half the night's price.

It is such an amazing location, how the property is positioned and the spectacular views. It was nicely decorated and looked very well maintained.

United KingdomWithout it sounding negative - the walk was tough (40 minutes for me) but don’t let this put you off. The views are incredible and well worth it.
The property is absolutely SPOTLESS. Toiletries such as toothpaste and shower gel were provided which was very helpful. Enzo the owner was very kind to keep it open on the last Saturday of the season before closing for winter. Breakfast was delicious. Free water and wine from the fridge a bonus too!

AzerbaijanCockroach bugs! Specially at night. Moreover, the way to the property was nightmare. Specially if you`ll ignore the instructions (like me) sent by the landlord and carry luggage to the property via stairs and "with wrong way" you will be ready to jump from over the hill. I ignored that there is a zip line to put your luggage and took with me to stairs, and to wrong way. After I contact the hotel, they told me to read the instruction. After reading the instruction I felt myself foolish and had to go back down the stairs with two heavy luggage.
A perfect sea view from window and in the period when we travelled to Portofino, this place was a good deal compared to others. A perfect flora, there is lemon, orange and grapefruit trees around the property and the terrace was awesome.

NetherlandsThe host was friendly and polite but not very interested in his guests, may be because he didn't speak Englisch. To us he was friendly because we speak also German, but otherwise you depend on his translation app. Portofino was awful (totally destroyed by tourism) and the beaches were too crowded.
The house is really like paradise. Its a beautiful old Italian house. Its NOT EASY to walk the stairs if you are not in good shape. The stairs were save enough, but if the earth is gonna move or the path is slippery (because of hard rain) it might become dangerous. So it is paradise, but not for everybody. It is quiet and peaceful in comparison to the beaches at the village.

SpainDuring one of the nights there was a thunderstorm and it was pretty hard to sleep due to the noise the windows made with the wind. There were old wooden blinds attached to the windows which made a loud noise the whole night.
The building is very quaint and we really enjoyed our stay. The walking up to the house is very beautiful although it could be a bit exhausting, however the view is worth the effort! What an amazing view!

United KingdomFirst of all my google maps took me to different stairs and I climbed up with a heavy bag until I realized it's not the right way. The right way in is next to the car park, then it's a really good signing system right to the top, and be prepared for some time climbing up, but the view is absolutely worth it 😍 The owner doesn't speak English but is doing well by translating through the phone. The house is nice with a good size of bed and shared bathroom. I really enjoyed my stay.

NorwayIt need to come better information about how to get to the b&b. From the parking lot to the b&b you have to walk 500 meter and 220 height meters. The b&b is not reachable by car. The man running the place can transport your luggage in a cable car, but you need to contact him in advance since he cannot transport the luggage after dark. Google maps can give wrong directions to the b&b, but the right direction is from the parking lot called «Parking Paraggi». Go up a road to the right of the orange building with «La Mandragola» on it. From there turn left over a bridge and start the path up the stairs. See attached photos for further description.
Great view, clean and spacious rooms. The host cooked a really nice dinner for us. The best view and outdoor facilities!
