Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

PortugalNothing to dislike.
Enzo was a great host, very friendly and he made sure we had a comfortable stay. Gave us local tips on public transportation, pompei, places to dine, including a helpful map. The location of the apartment is very convenient and perfect for day trips, a few minutes walk from the train station that takes you to Sorrento or Naples. The ferry to Capri is just a few steps from the apartment. There are lots of good restaurants in the area. The apartment is very spacious and comfortable. The breakfast every morning as well as the daily housekeeping is great perk. The apartment overlooks the sea which gives a nice view every morning when you wake up. Would book again if staying in the area.

AustriaThe water heater ran out quickly and the temperature was a bit low at first, but Enzo adjusted it when we asked. Our room didn’t get much natural light, so it felt a bit dark and cold, though the air conditioner helped. Also, there was no option to leave our luggage after check out.
Everything was super clean and well organized. The kitchen had all we needed and the breakfast was lovely, especially the fresh fruits. Every little detail was thoughtfully taken care of. All essentials like toilet paper were always refilled before running out. Enzo was very helpful, always available, and really cared about making our stay enjoyable.

CanadaHonestly, we were just a short walk from the railway station. We were across the street from the boardwalk along the sea. We could see Mount Vesuvius from the boardwalk. There were all kinds of restaurants, gelato places… And children’s playgrounds nearby. It was great to walk along the sea, and see all the yachts in the harbour across the street.h
We were very grateful for the breakfast provided . There was fruit/ milk / orange juice / croissants/ Toast, jam, honey/ And lovely little cakes. We were provided with tea and coffee and yoghurt that we could mix with our fruit. Enzo met us when we arrived and carried our luggage up the one flight of stairs for us. He gave us some suggestions for where to eat and where to go… I felt he was always available should we need help. They had all kinds of reading material that described highlights along the Amalfi coast. The apartment was very large more spacious than we had experienced so far. There was a small view from the window of the sea. We could open the windows for fresh air or we could turn on the air conditioners, whichever we preferred. It truly was an amazing place to stay And the price was less than what I would expect to pay for an apartment such as this.

TaiwanThe kitchen was a bit small, actually it's good for travelers who wanna eat out. Enzo would give a few good shops to try. We've tried the pizza, so goood🤌
We loved this cozy apartment a lot, and the owner was so kind, warm and full of patience. He spent time telling us about the good place to visit, the train connected to different places, and the most important info. is the cruise route to Capri, which showed us how perfect this location was for our travel plan. And he prepared plenty of bread for us, that made all of us felt welcome. We also were impressed by the decorations of the stairs, which can even become a photo spit itself.

SloveniaEverything was beautiful, the locals were friendly, so it was a wonderful experience. We were very pleased.
Enzo is a wonderful host, the apartment is clean, in a good location, every day they deliver breakfast for the next day, juices, fresh fruit, towels are changed every two days, the city beach is approx. 200 m away. The train station is approx. 800 meters away and takes you anywhere/ Naples, Sorrento, Vesuvius, Pompei, etc... Enzo will also recommend places with excellent food and provide you with advice on what to see. Everything is a few minutes walk away, the town of Castellammare di Stabia is beautiful and really worth exploring. A very good experience. If we come back, we will definitely come back to Enzo in this apartment.

United KingdomIt was just what we were looking for. Enzo was extremely welcoming and really took his time to tell us about the area and things to do. We really enjoyed the area and all the food available. There were some great restaurants and a fantastic Sicilian takeaway just a few minutes away. We also found it very easy to visit other places by train, such as Naples and Pompeii. Overall it was a great experience.

United KingdomThe shared inner entrance but this was more than made up once you stepped inside il Timone.
Although it was advertised as a B & B, it was not one in the conventional sense. However, we had more freedom and our host provided us with a vast range of food and non alcoholic drink that was much more than you would expect for just a breakfast each day.

United StatesThe neighborhood is a tad sketchy, but no more than the surrounding area.
The interior is nicely decorated, and has plenty of breakfast food. It feels very secure, too. Enzo was very flexible about our arrival, as we were delayed. he did a super job getting us settled in; just the sort of communicative owner ones to deal with.

BulgariaThe only bad thing was that the hotel is hard to find, there are no signs, where is the entrace to the hotel. But the host will welcome you so that is not such a problem.
I can only say good things about il Timone. The room was perfect. The beds were very comfortable and the apartment was big. The breakfast was great. Every morning the host fills your fridge and table with a big and tasty breakfast. You have creams, chocolate, cacao, coffee, bread, salams, cheese, etc. You have every ingredient to have the perfect breakfast. Also the host refils the frigde with water and juice. Everything in this place is great. The host, Enzo, is very helpful. It feels like he is 24/7 awake for your needs. He even put our clothes in a washing machine when we asked him. He will give you information for everything you need - timelines, restaurants, where to go. The rooms are very clean. Everyday he cleans and makes up your beds. Also he even wanted to say goodbye to us when we left the hotel. The hotel is near the center of the city.
