One night there was a private party organized in the hotel with loud music. The breakfast area was not nice, we were sitting inside instead of outside with the beautiful view

Un posto indescrivibilmente bello… First: If you are a luxury traveller, this is not your destination. But: If you like traditional buildings, authentic character and silence, you are right at Il Trappetello. Its a really nice place with wonderfull nature full of olive trees around. The garden is the perfect place to enjoy and relax. All the rooms are a new interpretation of old buildings. A bit like the current modern „boho style“. Natural materials, clean colours. Perfect to really reset! Only an additional chair or a bit more space to store could be helpfull and nice. The team is really nice and makes us feel so welcome. Especially Graziana helped us much with some recommendations. The breakfast is typical modern italian breakfast. A strong focus on sweets. Like you know from all the movies: Un espresso con il cornetto. But there are also eggs, cheese and sausage. It could be a bit more healthy with natural yogurt, whole weat bread…But thats my personal view. And to be honest: Around Monopoli there are much great food places for lunch and dinner. Traditional pasta, panini, fresh fish… All in all: I did not want to go home and we really enjoyed our trip at Il Trappetello.

The variety of breakfast was very small. I expected more. Also they have house-cats, I love cats, but I don't want them on my table at breakfast. This disturbed me a bit.

This place was fantastic! We had a difficult evening and the woman at reception was the most kind, helpful and caring person. We enjoyed breakfast and lying by the pool, was magnificent! Room was clean, comfortable and very beautiful. Would be back in a heartbeat!

My main goal for that vacation was to relax myself from the monotonous work life. Because of that hotel I absolutely relaxed and charged myself with positive energy, the staff was the friendliest I have ever experienced. It was a pity that it was a bit cold and we couldn't enjoy the pool. To the staff of the hotel: I will definitely come back! ❤️🙏🏻

We stayed several nights. It had started on a rather good note we thought, we were feeling really well, but then everything went downhill. So much so it was in fact quite disastrous in the end. A few things damaged our first impression : the freshly filled-in outdoor pool was not only icy cold, but it was uncleaned for days, and ultimately it was filthy. Towels for the pool, or staff to serve drinks and/or help with furniture in the garden by the poolside were rather absent, when not sought for. But mostly, because it's a seminar/event resort, it is NOT an authentic hotel, let alone a **** one, their major purpose is elsewhere. Hence a certain lack of thorough hospitality competence, e.g. in room service, and proper attention to customers, not to mention issues with the catering, which betrayed a rather erratic management of the place. In fact, a one-night only is the maximum we recommend, and still, only IF you are OK sleeping with AC, or with the front door ajar, otherwise be aware that there is not a single window in any of the 20 rooms. We do not recommend the half-board at all, that was the bummer for us. We ended up eating elsewhere, as we were being served the same dishes over and over again, sometimes simply reheated. NB: The accessibility, with luggage and/or wheelchair, is bad. Finally, the location somewhat suffers from a distant noise of both trains and road traffic. Nothing seriously annoying though.

The beautiful location. The nice garden. The large fresh pool. The presence of a chef (Angelo), and the laid back atmosphere. Easy access to several Puglia landmarks and the seaside. Olive trees everywhere. The quaint rooms.

We arrived after a 10 hour train journey to be told there would be no food available because the hotel were catering for a wedding. This would not have been a problem if we had known about it as we had been collected from Monopoli station and could have eaten in Monopoli. But we then had to venture out quite a distance to get a takeaway. We had a five-year-old girl with us who was tired and hungry. The staff gave us sketchy directions to a takeaway but it transpired they were too busy that night so we had to find somewhere else! This all made for a very unpleasant evening. The next day the same member of staff insinuated we were leaving without settling our bill when in fact we had paid earlier. We informed him politely but he virtually rugby tackled me and I had to become quite assertive. Luckily another staff member came to my assistance.

Everything was amazing – from the food to the accommodation and the staff, who were always friendly and helped us with anything we needed. The location was spectacular, peaceful, and had everything you could wish for during a few days of rest.
