How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewOur stay was exceptional! The staff was phenomenal and answered any and all questions we had. The room was quaint and charming with a large bed, air conditioning, a good size bathroom and patio. Our daughters shared a double room with two American-sized twin beds, and the same amenities as ours. Breakfast was provided and excellent with juices, meats, cheeses, fruits, pastries and eggs. The coffee was to-die-for, and the staff made us all the espressos and cappuccinos we could want each morning. We were in Arbetax visiting family friends, so sadly we did not partake in the evening wine service. The location was good and centrally located and within walking distance of several restaurants and a grocery store. Just a mile or two up the road was a cute little shopping district with beach and gift shops and restaurants. And, I must mention the bonus staff member, Romeo, the absolute sweetest cat! As an added bonus, the hotel did provide beach towels as needed for a nominal rental fee.
There is nothing honestly that I didn't like.

Verified reviewVery charming place - especially the garden where we could have the breakfast. The place apart from amazing private garden has another big terrace on the first floor, both full of plants, flowers and nicely decorated. The room style is retro, but in a good way, with lots of wood, including the celling. The room was clean and cleaned every day during our stay, AC worked great. The location very good, close to everything in Arbatax, including supermarkets, port etc and to calas around. The staff of the hotel very open and helpful. There was a friendly cat, which is a bonus! (find him on the picture)
breakfast was all correct but was the same every day, after a few days was repetitive - the salty part. The sweet part had a bigger variety and was changing. So it's not a big deal, overall the breakfast was good :)
Dear guest, Thank you for your review. I am truly delighted that you enjoyed your vacation. About the breakfast, we change the selection of Cakes and traditional Sardinian pastries every day. The savory options are certainly the same, but except for big hotels/villages that have an in-house restaurant and offer a daily cooked menu, this is the case in all hotels. Our savory buffet offers a wide selection of products, and every day guests can vary their choices and decide what to try. In particular, we have: - Fontina cheese, cooked ham, speck, salami - Sardinian pecorino cheese, ricotta, smoked provola cheese, Sardinian sausage - Hard boiled - Scrambled eggs - Vegetables (tomatoes, green salad, cucumbers) - 3 different types of bread etc... Thank you very much

Verified reviewJust the perfect stay under all points of view! Cute location, perfectly looked after, clean and relaxing atmosphere. Staff super! They should go to university to teach the perfect customer service to others! Always smiling, helpful, easygoing while maintaining an impeccable professionalism! Breakfast like a dream, top quality food and plenty of choices! Basically my family and I had the best stay ever! We didn’t try lunch and dinner but I’m confident it’s something amazing we just missed! Well we will stay longer next time, because in such a place would be just a pleasure coming back! Thank you very much to the property and the whole team for everything!

Short walk to the beach and many restaurants (10% discount offered at a number of nearby place - Bonobo was delicious!) Rooms had air conditioning en-suite and were very dark and quiet for the afternoon siesta! Easy access parking right in front of the hotel at o extra cost. Breakfast was nice foods in the garden court years and the staff can cater to dietary needs.

Verified reviewThe location of the hotel is in a quiet residential area and is very easy to access and park. The hotel has a lot of character. In terms of the decor of the room, it's somewhat more vintage, but maintains a lot of the modern amenities where it matters. The outdoor patio was absolutely charming, and the breakfast spread was delicious. The staff is also wonderful.
I don't know if it was just our room, but the floorboards were extremely creaky and made a lot of noise.
