Sink in bathroom a bit too shallow

No lifts so climbing 4 steep and narrow flights with suitcases was a stretch for us and maybe beyond the capability of older guests. No bellboys were available although the quite slight receptionist kindly suggested she would help but it didn’t seem fair to ask her to do so. Next time we’ll know to ask for a ground floor internal courtyard room or maybe first floor room. Alternatively a sturdy bell hop to assist where necessary.

Excellent communication by the host in advance of our arrival, and valuable transportation tips as we were making our own way by public transport from the airport hire car return station. Breakfast was standard Italian. Very nice coffee. The decoration, individuality, design and layout were exceptionally good.

The welcome was amazing: the staff is very helpful with anything, the atmosphere is very quiet and immersive. The location was perfect for me but I am biased by the fact the structure is located in my favourite Palermo's neighbourhood.

The accommodation is in a very good location with quick access to all areas of interest, as well as the coastal area. The building is beautifully renovated with respect for its original architecture. Clean and quiet. The staff led by Antonella makes you feel like you are staying with friends.

Someone must have turned off the refrigerator that it smelled like a mold inside. One of the teacups was already used when I checked in.

The bath tub on the balcony was ideal to relax after a long hot day although it took considerable time to have enough water to soak in.

Not enough plugs in the room. I would suggest add extra near the bed to charge the phone and have your reading light on at the same time. Same thing near the kettle.

We could not stay long in the morning as we had a boat to catch but we really enjoyed our stay. Very near to the sea. The whole area is under renovation. Decoration of the place was fantastic and the garden was very pleasant

I've stayed at Khalisah several times and always like to come back. The place is work in progress (in a good way!) and has expanded quite a bit over the past few years (there's now a walled garden and a roof terrace). The rooms vary in size and comfort, from the more spartan to pretty swish - I'm a fan of the big beds and big showers in the more expensive ones. That said, some rooms are on the second and third floors, up steep stairs - so if that's a problem for you, check beforehand! The area may feel a bit dodgy at your first visit, but I've never had any unpleasant experiences and have been happy to come and go at any time of the day or night. It's also a very handy location for exploration, as you can reach pretty much all the sights and a good selection of eating places on foot (some - like Palazzo Abatellis, Palazzo Steri or Palazzo Butera - are literally round the corner), and it is quiet at night. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Well located. In an interesting area. In the morning there’s a market. During the day artists come out. At night it’s a popular local’s meeting place with well priced and hospitable restaurants.

This is my absolute favourite place to stay in Palermo: Located in the lively Khalsa is the house very quiet and the rooms so beautiful. You can feel and see the love that the owners have poared into it with a lot of art and cosy places to stay in the court yard, the garden and the terrace. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I will definately com back again. (This was my third stay already).

Internet in my room didn’t function.

It was unique. I got in after midnight with detailed instructions on self check in. It was quiet, quaint, had everything I needed.

The breakfast could've been better. Unfortunately it was poor and there was nothing typical

The hotel is very nice and very very clean. The garden was amazing and there is a lot of attention to the details. The two girls at the reception were very nice, they suggested different city attractions and they let us keep the luggages in the hotel after we checked out. We were a bit disappointed by the breakfast, there was nothing typical and it was very poor. Overall a very nice stay.
