How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewThe Seaview was excellent since our room is on the left of the floor, we had the full view of the sea and the gulf from the balcony, the breakfast is excellent and delicious, the staff are extremely friendly and could even remember what coffee we would like to drink for breakfast, the view of dinner is also very nice with the excellent atmosphere.

Verified reviewThis hotel is a good example of what Italy does well. Good quality beautiful craftsmanship that is looked after and maintained beautifully. This means the decor is either classic or old fashioned depending on your view but importantly the sustainable option. The hotel also makes every effort to preserve their environment. The views are amazing and you are surrounded by stunning flowers. The breakfast was delightful and gave opportunity to admire the view further. We would come here again.
There were no chairs on the balcony but to be fair we didn't bring this to their attention and give them the opportunity to rectify.

Verified reviewWe loved hotel L'Oasi and we highly recommend it. It was really comfortable, clean and quite relaxing. The breakfast was good and we loved the view from the balcony. We especially liked the friendly and helping staff.
It is a bit uphill so if you don't have a car it may be harder for you to get to the center and back. But if you own a car, you won't notice this and you would enjoy the hotel.

Not easy to get anywhere due to location. Breakfast quite basic
Dear lady, I dare to say that our breakfast offers every day various types of cakes and desserts made by us, typical and not, fresh ricotta, omelette, various kinds of savory foods in addition to the usual 5 types of cereals and dried fruits and also 2 types of fresh fruit. I always find it pitiful that you complain about this and pretended many things but paying the price of a 3 stars and never going to a higher category hotel

Verified reviewThis place really is exceptional. I can't believe there's anywhere better in Cala Gonone. The panoramic view from the restaurant and breakfast area is incredible, rooms are clean with lovely balcony and views, but best of all is how welcoming and friendly the family that run L'Oasi are. They were so helpful with all of our questions, going out of their way to help. The food at the restaurant was the best we had in Cala Gonone. I hope to come back some day!

Spectacular sea view, kind and attentive staff, great breakfasts, dinners with delicious local dishes in private atmosphere (for us it turned out to be better than at any restaurant in the city). Beautiful garden with many levels and lovely secluded areas perfect for reading and relaxing.
For us it was perfect 😌 Just something to consider: the ascent to the hotel from the city is quite steep, so be prepared to climb.

Verified reviewThe position, although it was quite a climb up the hill, was excellent. Views from my room and the bar/restaurant were amazing.
The rooms are a little tired, although very clean. Charging phones/watches was incredibly slow

Verified reviewThe hotel is located at the side of the mountain with a spectacular view of the town. The large glass covered terrace is overlooking the bay. You can enjoy this view during breakfast and early hours of dinner. Amazing staff. They really trying to make your stay the most enjoyable you have experienced so far! Verified reviewThe breakfast terrace is an amazing place, offering a delightful selection of local, homemade baked sweets and other delectable treats. Parking was satisfactory, as expected, but the parking spots are quite small.
You have to walk down to reach the town center. Keep that in mind, but when you’re young, it’s no problem.

Verified reviewBeautiful view over the coastline, very nice and helpful family run and operated, lovely homemade dinners available for guests and great breakfast with lots of options.Steps to the panoramic coastal trail and just at base of hill to go to the caves. If you are coming from Olbia way make sure you stop at the pull off just across the bridge if you happen to hit it around sunset there is a gorgeous view down the valley.
Not on issue for me as I drove, but something to check into before booking, might be difficult to get to without a car as not sure if buses or shuttles run in peak season as didn't see any while I was there in the off season.
