The bathroom is in need of updating. Also, the air conditioning is controlled by reception. We were told that this could be altered at our request but no use if we decided the temperature suddenly needed altering in the middle of the night. The hotel has a lovely bar next to the lake which is open at night, however, when it rained, there was nowhere to sit inside the bar as it was accommodating the cushions for outdoor seating, all the outdoor seating was soaking as it hadn't been covered and there was no seating that was sheltered outside.

Great location set right on the lake with a lovely small beach so easy access for swimming. The hotel is next to a walking path which was very convenient for walking our dog. There are also other restaurants nearby within a short walk. The room was very clean and had a lovely large bed. There was plenty of easy access parking and the restaurant was good quality and very reasonably priced.

We weren’t very impressed by the hotel restaurant which wasn’t good value for money and the food was bland, it’s rare not to have a good quality meal in Italy!

The hospitality is 2 out of 10 I'd say. Didn't reflect the 4 star hotel at all. Or maybe we're not used to the hospitality of hotel in italy, I don't know. But there was a wedding on the day we were staying. The even has been going on for 10 hours. We went to the restaurant of the hotel, just simply asked their opinion when the event might finish. Because basically they put the music in a high volume and it was annoying. The waitresses basically answered as if they didn't care at all. Not reflecting of how the hospitality in such a hotel. Not just that, the next day, when we checked out and told the receptionist about the music during the wedding, she basically just answered "unfortunately that happened when there is this kind of event". Not even a simple apology! The bride and groom who obviously paid for having the event there, were not the only costumer. We paid for staying there. Does not reflect a 4 star hotel. Some of the wall in the room needs retouch too. And the bed is not that comfortable, too hard for my personal taste.

The position of the hotel is amazing with its private access to the lake. And the swimming pool was nice too. The room was clean.

Most of the hotel was spotless but the carpet hadn’t been vacuumed for days and had lots of dust, crumbs and hair on it. Didn’t see it cleaned in the almost 2 days we were there. Breakfast needed more staff on to cope with the busy spell.

The aircondition was not working well. We asked for a fan and we were given one. However if the rooms are all with ac functioning as it should it would be perfect!

This is a lovely hotel. Friendly, helpful staff, particularly Simone and Martina at the pool bar - they made us feel incredibly welcome and were a lot of fun. The location is phenomenal and I'm not sure it can be beaten! Great selection at breakfast, with excellent coffee, and all the food we had onsite was delicious. Our room was fine, but outdoors was so beautiful we were barely there anyway.

The staff were all friendly, professional and very helpful, particularly at the front desk. The lakeside location is the highlight! We swam in the lake and the pool. There are kayaks, paddle boards and bikes to rent. (Also, a jacuzzi, sauna and steam room). The walking path along the lake is wonderful and it’s a lovely 10-15 minute stroll to several very good restaurants in Pettanasco. The breakfast buffet was fabulous. There is a beautiful dining room for dinner, and four-star restaurant was an unexpected bonus, as was the live music on Sunday nights.

Our room was described as having a lake view. We actually had a awful view with a tiny glimpse of the lake but mainly a view of ugly flat roof, car park and the lake side bar. Very disappointing

Overrated. Not a 4 stars hotel. Old building. No lift in most area. The swimming pool and facilities need refreshment. Mountain view is rather parking view. No charm, big hotel. Lots of kids and dogs.

It was not very pleasant to see cheap instant coffee in the room in a 4 star hotel in Italy. Food for breakfast was ok and not very varied, mostly from packed commercial stuff.

Stunning location overlooking the lake and mountain, our room was clean and spacious, the bed was comfortable. The hotel is definitely quite dated but kept quite clean so I didn’t find it to be too much of an issue. Personnel were very friendly and helpful! We didn’t use the swimming pool or any facilities so no comments on that.

The junior suite was infact a room with a added mezzanine which squeaked horribly and had very narrow stairs which were difficult to navigate especially at night as the bathroom was downstairs. The air conditioner was not high enough for the mezzanine so while the downstairs room was cool the mezzanine with the bed was hot and airless. No milk provided for coffee/tea.

There was no curtain/blind in the bathroom and even though it was fairly protected with the road and steep mountainside facing the bathroom it was a little uncomfortable. Breakfast was a little chaotic (because of number of guests). Might be good to ask people to pick a time slot in advance? Clearer signage to the lake pathway would be good. Lots of noise from people walking past in the corridor but maybe this is them being loud.

Great leisure facilities with outdoor swimming pool and being right on the lake for easy access and rental of SUP and other things. Nice walk by the lake into the nearest town (15 minutes but take a torch). Breakfast buffet with lots of options. Restaurant looked nice but we didn't eat there. There are a few (maybe three?) places to eat in town but suggest you book. The external restaurant we went to (lake side of the main road) was OK but quite brisk service and charged us for mineral water we never received. Our room was big and the bathroom with shower was too.

We had a problem with the air-conditioning- when we turned it off it kept turning back on. The staff tried to fix it but couldn't on the first night. It was fixed by the second night. Also the shower is showing it's age and has some mould on the tiles and bottom of the shower door. I found the bi-fold glass doors a strange option for a shower.

The breakfast was very good and the location was lovely.

If you don’t have a car then have to rely on an infrequent ferry to get to other towns. You could walk to Orta but the road doesn’t have pavements on a crucial route part of the road.

Lakeside location was great with views across the lake from our balcony bedroom.
